Customer reviews are mixed, with several noting concerns about billing clarity and charges related to travel or shop time. Some mention quick scheduling and jobs completed in a short visit, but dissatisfaction with the final invoice. A smaller number of reviews reference timely help during urgent situations. Overall themes include communication about pricing, time charges, and expectations around materials or shop fees.

My own fault for not reading these other reviews, needed a sink drain re-hooked up and 2 drains snaked… pricing was understandable with reception until after the work was done and was hit with a hefty bill for ~70 minutes of work (was charged for 150 minutes of work, total: $755) and was made to pay without seeing a proper invoice/any breakdown of receipt. When the bill finally was received they charged an extra $100 essentially for the time it apparently took to unload a small auger and drive 10 minutes to their shop.

Extremely poor communication, payment without an invoice so you can’t argue a clear error until they have your money is ridiculous. Do not recommend.

Mr. Plumber strikes yet again!!!! Need a single bead of caulking done if my bathroom tub just around the edges where my tub meets my wall. Thinking I would be helpful, I removed all the old caulking for the plumber.

Plumber shows up while I’m at work so just the wife was at home. He didn’t give her a heads up on the price and went to work. Less than an hour later he tells my wife we owe over $300 for less than an hour worth of work and $25 in supplies for a single tub of caulking.

Was originally told that the first hour is $110 and ever 30 minutes after that is $50. How does that add up to over $300? Then we were told his time starts when he leaves the shop till he returns to the shop and because he stayed a minute extra we still get charged the $50.

I feel like their business wouldn’t have such horrible reviews and reputation if the customer service was better in the plumbers part. Woman on the phone was awesome but some heads up that a 45 minute job would cost that much would be nice. Because if that was the case I’d rather try myself.

That being said. We will have to see if his caulk job holds up over time.

The pile of bad reviews should steer you away from using this plumber, but I will add
my experience to the list.

I called this company to fix a leaking dual flush toilet in a rental property I own in PA. I called, made an appointment and was informed charge was minimum 1 hr plus shop supplies. I gave my visa for automatic payment and convenience.

Plumber shows up with an apprentice. Boasts to this apprentice how easy this job will be, “fixes” the leak in less than half an hour, then demands and badgers my tenant for payment. She refuses, informing him she is the renter and it was arranged with the company that the landlord pays.

Fast forward 3 weeks later, my smart water meter alarm is chirping and my tenants can’t figure out what it is, I call the emergency line for the city, they come and inspect and tell me the issue is in the house : it’s the same leaking toilet.

I call Mr plumber. Pull up my receipt, tell them first the leak is not fixed and according to this fancy smart meter app that I installed at the time my emergency notification went off, that the leak never stopped and has been going since they “fixed it” on their last visit. Second, I was charged for the apprentice! I was not informed and I did not agree to this. The receptionist couldn’t do much, and said all her guys “were out on big jobs.” So maybe tomorrow the issue can get fixed. I ask for call from the owner- because this is not acceptable.

The owner and his wife both call me. I explain the issue, and at no point was there an apology, or an explanation to justify the $230 for a journeyman and an apprentice for a “simple job,” he tells me he has to train his guys and isn’t getting into it- but he also doesn’t inform his customers that you’re paying FOR A SECOND PLUMBER, to which I had not consented! This was not a 2 person job. I was told to replace the toilet is $300 plus labour (so maybe 4 guys would show up this time?) I asked if I could supply the toilet and the owner responded “don’t come to me when it shits the bed.”

I asked for a refund, to which I got a “ha probably not”. $230 later I still have a leaking toilet and a high water bill.

So in summary, the customer service is poor, customer satisfaction is poor, misinformation is HIGH, and apparently they can’t even teach an apprentice a “simple job”. This company is shady and will steal your money and waste your time. If you are an apprentice, go learn somewhere else because you won’t get what you need here.

Hoping those “big jobs” get done right

So grateful. For Sure deserves Five Star. It snowed suddenly a lot in Month of January 2024 here in pa and our heater stopped working for us in the shop. The temperature was down to 4 inside supposed to be 18 or 19. We couldn't even find anyone who could help us right away.
We called the guys who worked on the heater 2 months ago heater had issues earlier as well. They gave up they said they don't have parts and also can't order. But fortunately they recommend us to Mr.Plumber. I was working in the shop and my hands was literally getting freezed inside.
Not only guys were so cooperative with me understanding what i am feeling they were quick to diagnose the issue and got atleast some part of heater working plus gave me some electric heaters. After few days, parts came in and now heater has been never been as good as it is now. For sure, if have any issue like this personally or in at work definitely calling Mr.Plumber

DO NOT RECOMMEND. The plumbers on site are pleasant and get the job done; however, I will warn anyone who hires them to understand how their billing works. They clarify their charges at the time of the call. Its $100 for the first hour and $50 for every 30 minutes thereafter, which is fair. They charge $25 for shop supplies, regardless of if they end up using any. What they do not specify is that they charge for the time they leave their shop to the time they return, which is typical. The issue though is they take 15-20 minutes to create their list of supplies, call the office for them to determine a price, and arrange payment, which ends up costing you an extra $50 depending on how long your initial job takes. Customers should not be required to pay for their time to bill their customers. They also told me to be at the site at 8:30am but they sent their guys there at 8am which they charged me for to wait for me to arrive. In addition, they also sent two people for a one-man job which is irrelevant if they have a base charge; however, when I raised my concerns of requiring me to pay for them to wait there until I arrived at the specified time and pay for the time it takes to invoice me, they mentioned that two were on site to somehow justify their charges. Marilyn, who is responsible for billing, was also rude and dismissive.

BEWARE of their billing and ensure you are present during the job to confirm time of actual labour. When they call to head to the job site, make sure you are present at the site rather than depending on the time they tell you to be there for. The actual job was an hour but they charged me an extra $50 for the office to send the plumbers earlier and $50 for them to bill me which is not right, costing me $200 in labour alone for a one hour, one-man job.

If your job takes an hour but it takes them 10 minutes to get back to the shop, you are still charged an extra $50. If you require no parts, you are still charged the base shop supply fee of $25.
