Impetus Plumbing and Heating

Have relied on Impetus for our plumbing & HVAC needs over the year. Today they did an especially great job, so I figured I'd leave a review! Yesterday, our AC unit began leaking, we originally deemed it was a simple filter clean / replacement needed, but shortly after we realized there was build up in the tube that needed a flushing. Darryl and team were quick to identify the issue and resolve it - just in time for the heat wave. Great service. Highly recommend.

Daryl Wong is nothing short of excellent. I recently bought a vanity for my bathroom and had some issues with how to run the drainage pipe. I took a picture and what was going on. With his knowledge and guidance, I was able to get all the right pipe fittings and install it without any issues. This guys a pro! Thanks Daryl!

Mathias and Jordan showed up promptly on the day of our water heater replacement. They were efficient, friendly and professional...all the skills you want present when maintenance is being done on your home. They knew what they were doing too...installing a brand new Bradford White hot water tank completely and right up to code in just a few hours. Thanks guys! From the moment we called, the company was responsive, professional, and quick to arrange assistance. Mathias conducted a thorough inspection of our main sewer line and quickly identified the source of the problem. He accurately diagnosed the issue, located tree roots blocking the pipe, and professionally removed them, restoring the sewer line to proper working condition. We had impetus do a combination boiler replacement and replace a manifold valve on one of our heating circuits. Alvin and Jordan and their teams did great work for us. They ran into some difficulties because our utility room is very cramped but they honoured their quote and the final job was fantastic. They were easy to communicate with, punctual, professional and provided several photographs of the before and after aspects of the work they did. I would definitely work with impetus again if I needed more work done in the plumbing or heating systems of my home.

I'll soon be booking a third job with Impetus Plumbing. I was completely satisfied with their work in my apartment's kitchen and bathroom on two previous occasions. He was careful and paid good attention to detail as he first ascertained what the problem was and then set about fixing it. Alvin and Jordan spent three hours patiently figuring out our problem and fixing it. They were both friendly efficient and courteous. All cleaned up after they were finished. My husband and I would definitely call them if we have future problems.

What was supposed to be a plumbing nightmare turned into a surprisingly pleasant two-day experience (which feels illegal to say about plumbing). He went above and beyond every step of the way and somehow managed to keep everything impressively clean, my floors have truly never felt more respected. He’s also funny, personable, and the kind of professional who actually explains what’s happening instead of vanishing into the pipes like a mysterious wizard. On day two, I felt so comfortable with his work and trustworthiness that I left him alone in my home while I went to work, a level of trust I do not hand out lightly. Alvin from Impetus Plumbing did an incredible job with servicing my residential boiler. He was friendly and knowledgeable. He wen't over and above explaining to me the issue, what needs to be done, and what could be done going forward to extend the life of my unit. I wouldn't hesitate to use Impetus Plumbing again.
