I want to start by saying that I am happy with the final outcome of my patio and fence project. The finished product looks good overall, and the crew addressed several issues I raised during the project. There were a few minor problems along the way, including concerns with grading and transitions around the patio, but those items were ultimately corrected after discussion.

That said, my experience with project management and communication was much more frustrating than I expected, especially considering Oasis Pool and Patios was significantly more expensive than the other companies I considered.

Their initial quote for my fence and patio project was nearly $13,000, while the other quotes I received were between roughly $9,500 and $10,000. Even after negotiation, Oasis was still the higher-priced option. I chose them anyway because they presented themselves as more professional, attentive, and detail-oriented during the sales process. Unfortunately, that level of communication changed once the work began.

The most recent example is what finally convinced me to write this review. A few days after my fence was installed, it was damaged by a landscaping company. The landscaping company accepted responsibility and simply needed the fence specifications in order to proceed with repairs. I reached out to Alex on Thursday, May 7, and he immediately responded that he would get the specs to me by Monday. Monday passed with no response. I followed up Tuesday morning and received no response. I followed up again Wednesday afternoon, and he replied: “Apologize for the delay, I have the specs on my desk and will have them to you this evening.” It is now Thursday afternoon, and I still have not received them.

On its own, this may sound like a small issue, but it reflects the broader communication problems I experienced throughout the project. Commitments and timelines were often not communicated clearly, and I frequently had to follow up multiple times to get updates or responses.

My overall impression is that Oasis does quality work, and the crew did ultimately address the issues I raised with the project itself. However, the communication and project management experience did not match the premium pricing or the expectations established during the sales process.

There are many companies technically capable of installing a fence or patio. The reason customers choose to pay a higher price is usually because they expect a higher level of professionalism, communication, responsiveness, and overall service throughout the project. That is ultimately where I believe Oasis fell short. While I am satisfied with the final product, I do not believe the customer experience matched the premium price point they charged.

Alex and his team were great. They came out to consult what kind of work we wanted done and were helpful in leading us towards a vision for our backyard we couldn’t quite envision ourselves. They were also able to expedite the project after we explained what work we were getting done in the yard within the following weeks. The crew was extremely friendly and gave care instructions so that we can keep our new trees healthy and growing. We will definitely continue to use this company for all of our outdoor needs!

We’ve had a great experience over the past three years working with Oasis first to redo our back deck and build a new screen porch, and then, this year, to install a new fence and a stone sidewalk. In all cases, we found Travis to be very collaborative in helping us refine our designs and ensure that we understood the various material options we could choose from. He was also clear in communicating the price and explaining details when we had questions. The craftsmen for each project were also outstanding, and we have been thrilled with all of the results. Definitely would recommend.
