Donna went out of her way to find an obscure Hayward filter part they had in stock. She processed my order over the phone and left the parts where I could pick them up after they closed. World class service, thank you.
The only reason they’re getting the two stars is because of Joe. He has been nothing but helpful whenever I had questions and when I purchased my brand new pool. Atlas closed our old pool last year and when setting up for opening this year we found out we are missing every single drain plug. When I went to the store and brought it to their attention the older woman behind the counter couldn’t care less and kept trying to sell me the incorrect parts until finally she said she couldn’t help me
The woman who works there should not be in customer service. I’m assuming from the other many reviews this persons name is Donna. Every single interaction myself or my husband has had with her has been negative. She acts like you’re a bother to her and always has a snarky remark. My very first time here was unfortunately with her, I brought in a water sample and she was annoyed that I was not already in the system??? She was bothered she had to input a few things in the computer! My husband calls to ask if they have something in stock she responds with “i don’t know I didn’t build your pool” in a snarky tone. Thats just two of many incidents. If it was not for the younger gentleman who my husband and I have interacted with throughout our time coming here this would be 1 star. They have always been kind and courteous, ready to help. Ready to answer any questions. Thank you for those few, you’re the only reason we continue to come here.
Atlas is decent and we had a fairly good experience with purchasing a pool from them. Ready for some tips that no one told us? If you buy an above ground pool the area you’re installing it must be free of roots or stumps for several inches! Like, 4-6” down. We did not know this and it cost us money and time. Second, if you live in a wooded area you might want to purchase the cheap insurance of a root barrier. These are ~$130 on Amazon and again, caused a delay. Finally, your pool should have 2 weeks to settle once fully installed. Otherwise the bottom will be all lumpy. Just some issues we ran into and had to reschedule a child’s party due to so many unforeseen problems. Finally, we also needed a water bond coupling for the filter basket. This is an inspection item that the pool company doesn’t sell or tell you about. The installers didn’t have one either initially. Good luck and honestly we were reasonably happy other than the delays.
Contracted with atlas 10/2020 was advised that our fiber glass pool would be installed 7/2021. Pool was dropped 3/30. Now 6/2022 and the pool is not finished. I have a mosquito and big attracting black hole of water in my back yard. Not to mention through out this process the endless number of calls, emails, store visits just to get answer as to what is going on and what’s the hold up. Obviously, every time it’s a different excuse and situation and promise that is never fulfilled, but you can assure yourself that they will be on time to pick up their checks and will be in your home within 1 to 2 hours, but not to complete a job they were paid for in full.Buyer be ware!! Avoid using them at all cost!!Attached is the Image of my backyard for the past 2 months. I have a 1 year old and 3 year old and there are hole and lines all over my backyard. They can care less if my children get hurt or if it’s a hazard.
