the experience I have had with this company is a nightmare.I told him I was building my dream pool paying out of pocket. They lied to me during contract signing on available money towards landscaping and leveling of my yard. From the beginning when the subcontractor was out building the pool day 1 dig, I heard the sub tell owner you know this is going to take 2 pumps right? The owner looked defeated. If I owned a pool company, I would make sure my drawing was correct before showing the customer. After that I noticed him cutting corners.Told him I wanted a 6–8-inch border he did 4 inches without even asking. When doing work at someone's house you should at minimum leave it how it was before you got there...My yard still has about a half an acre of no grass when there was grass there before.I was up charged for pebble Tec come to find out he had never installed it and decided that he didn't need to acid wash it because it is softer when not done. I told him every single time they cleaned the pool it scratched it and then he said Well we can acid wash it but would have to charge me. to do the pebble Tec it is needed to be acid washed by their install recommendations. make that make sense. On top of that I have several lines in my brand-new pool they said would go away; it didn't.While they were cleaning my pool in the beginning they poured chemicals in skimmer and stained the deep end in photo I posted. Left it like that like oops oh well.when leveling by the pool I called the owner and told him it is not done correctly and it will crack. Chris said they do this all the time it will be fine...My deck tiles cracked and the grout used throughout is 2 different colors.they came fixed the deck tiles and they cracked immediately after. Now it's because it's such a long run and they need to install a joint. Got 2 specialists out and they said that isn't true it should have been levelled properly. The owner Chris said Russell was doing the landscaping. I paid the check to another company for some reason and every single thing they did is wrong from the trees planted being crooked and no border to planting plants that can't survive around saltwater pool when they picked all the plants.nightmare experience. Then glass tiles, looked like a kindergartener did it. no hey we are going to fix it since you spent a quarter million dollars on a pool. Just is what it is. Stay far away from this company He doesn't care if you like the product or not.The landscaping done is so piss poor I feel I got robbed. This went from being a very proud moment in life being able to build my dream pool to settling for below average production and careless penny pinching by an owner that was more expensive than all the other bids. At this point I have sent messages to the owner over and over to no response. I just want my pool I paid for to be done right and not look like crap.To top it off I have called several times for him to come fix everything and he won’t call or respond.
We paid over 200k for our dream back yard and pool. It has been nothing but problems the entire time. The tiles have cracked multiple times. We did pebble tech and it was not done the right way. We have called multiple times for them to come fix everything and the owner has blocked the number. When you’re paying this much for something to be done right, you expect it to be handled with care. We are just now able to really use the pool starting this month because of when it was completed last year. The landscaping is really down wrong. We’ve had two other companies out to show us what the problems are and how to fix it, which we’ll have to come out of pocket for again. All of the trees weren’t planted properly and are leaning to the sides. Majority of the plants died from being over saturated with water and we were told from someone else they don’t survive well with the salt water pool, which checks out because it’s the ones directly behind the pool.
We have been using Russell Pool for decades to maintain my parents pool. As my folks aged they helped update it to make the pool easier to keep up with and their cleanings have always been awesome! Megan is great to work with and they actually care about their customers. I can’t recommend them enough.
I really wanted to get a quote from this company . But after the rep for our area came out and took measurements I never could get him to come through with a quote . He basically said “ you can’t afford us.” Nick was his name and after initially being polite , became quite arrogant and acted like he was doing us a favor to build us a pool. After repeated phone calls, texts and waiting I gave up and found another pool builder. Never got back with me to give a quote .Very disappointed.
Russell pools have built two pools for our homes over the years. They do an excellent job I would really not get anyone else to build our pool. After the first one was built it was done so well that the next time we did build a home we ask them to do the second pool. I went there yesterday to have them fix our dolphin pool cleaner and they did a great job with that too.
