We have been customers of leisure world since 2007. We purchased a hot tub and a radiant pool from them. It is now 2026 and I can say that we are still satisfied customers to this day. This truly is a family run business and they make you feel welcome and are always there to help. I highly recommend their products and services. Don’t hesitate! Call leisure world for all your backyard home fun in the sun needs!
Folks, Todd Bessery and his crowd will disappoint you in you're looking to invest in a pool. I've attached photos, they are hiring unskilled laborers and passing them off as professionals in the field. My installer Jeremey (he's out Rutland and you should wonder why Todd is drawing help from so far away) neglected to make a check list of the pipes and wires that are to go into the pit that plumbs the pool to the equipment that runs it. He then instructed me to have our electrician bury the grounding wire to the pool which prevents electrocution because he forgot to put it in the pit. He was fine suggesting we pay our electrician 175.00/hr to dig ditches where he collected the money to be responsible for this. They recessed the pool in our yard. The overestimated the pit measurements because they don't understand grading or water away concepts so rain and mud doesn't slide into the pool. Picture is attached of our surrounding grounds that sit much higher than the pool. They told us this was our fault that we didn't tell them to set the pool higher. We aren't landscapers, we're paying 55K for a professional installation and they blamed us for their incompetencies. Additionally, they told us that we were responsible for renting, transporting, and operating a large excavator to fix the surrounding grounds because we wanted the pool recessed to be a mud pit. We're suing them, and want everyone to understand the perils of hiring these people to perform these expensive duties. We fired Leisure World from the job, we became aware that the automatic cover people they work with were also cheating us on an ever-increasing priced cover, which would never work on our pool because Jeremey of Leisure World didn't estimate the correct blueprint of ledge removal which wouldn't have allowed the motor to the cover to be set. They tried to muscle us to take a 20K cover that we found out from their supplier wouldn't work on our pool, and we successfully argued that with the help of a chargeback and the VT Attorney General's Office. We had Pool World (please call them, they're a local and responsible, skilled outlet for any pool needs) come out and help us fix all the issues that were wrong with the pool. Please also know that we had to completely redesign our yard to an additional expense of 21K, installing retaining walls to keep the mud out of the pool, reworking slopes, etc. This was never what we wanted for this space, but because of their incompetence, we're now locked into this new, more difficult to negotiate yard. Pictures are of how recessed the pool is compared to the surrounding grounds. The other picture is of the opening they created near the gas unit, and forgot to close up. They returned the excavator, and when I said the side of the house is still open, they told me that opening that was a 'favor' to us, and we would have to arrange to close that up at our expense. This was the trench that was needed to be dug to connect the pool to the gas water heater and part of the installation that comes with the pool purchase. Buyer beware. You aren't saving any money when you end up having to redesign your grounds, or when you have your pool cracked and fail a couple years in.
Well we did it again. This time we bought a hot tub for our youngest daughter from Todd and Chris. They were very helpful for us on making the right choice. They are very knowledge and courteous and the delivery was awesome. I couldnt recommend a better dealer to deal with Leisure World Pools I give a 5 STAR
I have purchased three hot tubs in the past from Leisure World Pools and couldn’t ask for better service and courteous business transactions. I have one of the hot tubs that I purchased from Todd Bessery back in May 1985 we had it installed permanently in our post and beam home and it works just as good today as it did 41 years ago original motor original pump if I ever need any service of any sort such as filters or chemicals. As a matter of fact we are going to have their crew install a inground pool this summer. I wouldn’t go any place other than leisure world I give them a full star rating only because I can’t give him a six star rating
Todd was amazing helping us pick out a pool that met our needs, having his crew install our pool and answering all our questions. The pool installation was completed on time and in 1 day and they came back out a couple times to check on things. This was definitely the best investment we have done, and we had such great family time over the summer and made some amazing memories. I highly recommend them to anyone considering purchasing a pool
