Customer reviews show mixed experiences. Many homeowners mention being pleased with the finished pool quality and refinishing results. Recurring concerns focus on project timelines and the need for frequent communication and follow-ups. Professionalism of on-site crews is noted positively in several reviews.

Danny and Tropical pools did a fantastic job on our pool refinish. They started when they said and finished in a very timely manner. We are so happy with the end product we received.

UPDATE:
Our pool is finally done and we're very happy with it. It is absolutely beautiful.
Our biggest issue with this project was timeline and communication.
If you're told this project is going to take 5 months, double that and then add some. Also, stay on top of absolutely everything. We made the mistake of being patient and letting them do the work as they could. This is what led to us waiting more than double the time frame we were given.
The last 2 months of this project, we called every. Single. Day. We had to or else more weeks would go by with nothing happening.
We had a few issues after it was completed but they were taken care of right away.
There are also some really amazing employees that have made sure things are done correctly. We had an issue with the umbrella holders being crooked but the prep guy took care of it and it's perfect. The guys that have taken care of the pool since it was filled have been excellent.
They work really hard and we really appreciate the fact that they care and do their job with a lot of pride.
Overall I would absolutely recommend Tropical pools. The craftsmanship is excellent. The pool and the spa is gorgeous and we are very pleased with the final results . But... You MUST be prepared to wait very long and you MUST stay in top of every part of the project.

We've had ENOUGH
We started this process in October 2021. It was supposed to be done February, then March, than April, it's June and here we are... All we have to show for it is a giant hole. Our kids summer break is passing by and we have nothing. No birthday parties in their new pool, no family events cooling off at the pool. No holidays playing with their friends at the pool. Dates of work are promised, people don't show up. Communication is always an issue.
We understand supplier issues but many of the setbacks we've had are not because of materials. ALL of our payments have been made on time. But here we are still waiting.
I hope to be able to update this review with all the good things very soon but right now we are so frustrated. So much money spent and we STILL have nothing to show for it.

Rick has been a great help. He designed my pool and has been in touch every step of the way so far in my new pool build. Everything he said was going to happen has happened within the timeframe he laid out. All the workers have been professional and very pleasant to work with so far.. My pool is still in the beginning phases but has been a great experience to date. I would recommend Tropical Pools to anyone.

5 MONTH UPDATE:
Pool still not finished. I have had my pavers sitting in my front yard since my initial review 4+ months ago. The plastic over them has disintegrated and weeds have grown throughout them. My front and back yard are horrible and look like the Chernobyl disaster. Now I have piles of dirt and sand that got dropped in my driveway so I can’t even park at my house. Just tired of this whole process and all of the excuses. I just want my pool finished!!

Here is the 4 month picture and yes the pool is done! It took the full 4 month to finish. I feel good on the workmanship and work flow after the coping, pavers and tile were "delivered to the house". Looking at the project from a customers prospective, this project could have been cut in half (2 months) if they waited for the coping, pavers and tile were delivered!

Pool renovation started May 8th and today is August 8th, 3 months in.
*Key* have your tile, coping and pavers at your home before starting!
I think the subcontractor who put in the tile and coping did a good job. I was told the pavers go in this week and final grade ??.
I hope by the end of the 4th month the picture of a finished pool!

Pool renovation started on May 8 and today is August 2.

"KEY" Have you coping, pavers and tile sitting on your property before starting the job!"

Good week most of the coping and tile went in and TP called on Friday to let me know what is scheduled for this week. ____________________________________________Start date May 8th today is July 19.
*Last week my side and back yard was cleaned up as planned & footer was formed and concrete is scheduled for this Wednesday.
* Coping, pavers "that was ordered in February" is scheduled to be delivered by the end of the week.
*** KEY LEARNING*** I should have had the coping, pavers and tile sitting at "my house" before starting the job!
* The pool should be done NOW by the end of August instead of the end of July!
"We will see how the week goes"

We are very pleased with our new pool! Overall the project went well. They started in April and had us using the pool by July 4. The quality of the materials used in the pool are excellent. I will say the finish work took a little bit longer to do and I did have to continually stay in touch with them to be sure things got completed. Overall everybody that we worked with was professional and pleasant. I would recommend Tropical Pools.
