Customers frequently mention professional and polite staff, timely help, and clear communication when arranging parts or service. Several reviews praise technicians for diagnosing pump and connection issues. A few critical reviews cite concerns about pricing clarity, follow-up communication, and expectations around scope of weekly maintenance. Overall ratings trend strongly positive with many noting helpful in-store support.

Beautiful Pool, Disappointing Maintenance

I am not a first-time pool owner, and I understand what professional weekly pool maintenance should look like.

Our pool is a newly built 49,000-gallon plaster pool. After the builder’s complimentary startup service ended, I hired Net Positive Pool Service because of its excellent reputation and many positive online reviews. At $450 per month, I expected premium weekly maintenance, including proper brushing, vacuuming, water chemistry management, and proactive care.

Unfortunately, my experience was very different.

From the beginning, I had to repeatedly remind the company to brush the deep end thoroughly, avoid parking in my driveway because it damaged my newly installed lawn, and, if possible, send the same technician each week for consistency. The office staff was always polite and responded quickly to my emails, but the same problems kept happening.

The final incident convinced me to cancel the service.

After several days of rain, I noticed my pool beginning to develop a green tint. I wasn’t overly concerned because my regular Friday service was scheduled, and I assumed the technician would clean the pool properly, brush all surfaces, vacuum where needed, and adjust the chemicals if necessary.

Instead, I came home from work around 4:00 PM on Friday and was shocked.

The water was still green. The steps, corners, and floor had visible debris and residue. It was obvious the pool had not been thoroughly cleaned, despite receiving an automated email stating that the technician had completed the service. According to the service report, the pool had been vacuumed, brushed, baskets emptied, the surface skimmed, and chemicals added.

The condition of my pool simply did not match the work that was reported as completed.

What made the situation even more frustrating was the timing. It was late Friday afternoon, I had guests arriving the following day, and there was no practical way to get the issue resolved before the weekend.

Out of frustration, I sent an angry email to the owner. Looking back, I regret some of the words I used. My frustration came from arriving home to a pool that clearly had not received the level of care I was paying for each week.

The next morning, the company sent another technician. He was courteous and genuinely tried to help, but he appeared to have limited experience. He suggested the green color might be caused by metals in the water, added chemicals, and instructed me to run the filtration system for 24 to 48 hours.

The water improved somewhat, but the debris and green residue on the floor, steps, and corners remained. The underlying issue was never properly resolved.

Throughout my time as a customer, I found a significant difference between the company’s customer service and the quality of the actual pool maintenance. Emails were answered promptly, promises were made, technicians were sent back when I complained—but the recurring maintenance issues continued until I finally canceled the service.

The attached photos were taken immediately after the company marked my weekly service as completed. They accurately show the condition of my pool before guests arrived that weekend.

I understand that every company can have an occasional bad day. However, my decision was based on multiple recurring issues over several weeks, not on a single visit.

I genuinely hope other customers have a better experience than I did because the company has many positive reviews. Unfortunately, this was my experience, and after paying for what I believed was premium weekly pool service, I ultimately decided to take my business elsewhere.

Just got hooked up with Tommy at Net Positive. They were professional, polite and timely. My first problem required me going to the store. Tommy had everything I needed in stock and waiting at the counter. Super helpful because of my time crunch! Next I needed service at my house. Tommy sent Steve to my house. Also timely, professional and polite. This crew represents superior quality, excellent communication and wonderful local business! I recommend 100%. Had to replace wireless antenna for app to work.

Steve was even willing to reach out after the weekend to assist in any setup concerns.

I would highly recommend Jim and his team at Net Positive Pool Services. We had a pump issue under warranty by the company that built our pool, and they use Net Positive for repair/service. Turns out there was a connection issue going on in addition to bad parts, and Jim figured it out. He was super nice and so incredibly knowledgeable - Thank you!

I CAN NOT recommend Net Postive Pools for concise communications, service pricing clarity, and completion of services. First, I was told text communication was prefered but I never got a response from one of my texts. I was told initally that to clean my filters, pool, add chemicals and salt would be one visit and one price. Then after "completing" the service they infomed me that for additional $150 we will come back to complete the cleaning. I asked why can you not vaccuum all the obvious debris which is large leaves and mulch before adding chemicals they informed me that then they would have to vaccuum twice. Which makes no sense to me?! In fact I have video which showed they did not vacuum at all. In the end, I was told I should have sent a before photo...then I would have been told that it would be a two visit service. Either way I feel that I have been fleeced here. I would highly recommend taking your business elsewhere.
Reply to Owner: If the pool was so “Green” then why does the report emailed after I had to contact you state the opposite? I stated in my original call that my pool was visible to the bottom as asked and could they clear up debris from the bottom of the pool during my service. If multiple visits would be necessary not even the pool techs stopped to knock on our door after asking them to keep us posted…they just left.

As an employee I have nothing but great things to say about Net Positive Pools. I enjoy the teamwork and commitment from each of my teammates. From top to bottom we are striving to be the very best. As a certified pool technician I know how to take care of your pool, and our highly trained staff does too. Our goal is to give you our very best each and every day. I would highly recommend working with us as your weekly pool service or joining our team and experiencing this great place to work for yourself.
