I found Art on Instagram and initially reached out about a fiberglass install. I had a great chat with their sales guy/PM Daniel but didn’t go through with it since they only did gunite. A few months later, I got a call from Daniel asking if I was still interested in a pool and would consider gunite; the stars aligned and here we are 1 month post completion. Like any big construction with several subcontractors, there will be ups and downs. My 5 star rating is for the beautiful end result and Art fixing issues that came up during the project. Art didn’t make excuses; I would trust him with future work.Project Included: plunge pool + deck, pebbletec, waterline tile, step tiles, retaining wall with sheer descent, heat pump, upgraded electrical, lighting, automation, autofill. (Pool cover/bench shown installed separately)Pros: Art is on site with his team for the majority of the build. He had great design ideas and is willing to make whatever you want happen within reason. He even put things in place to help with future landscaping upgrades ??, which tells me he thinks efficiently. I got several quotes and Art’s was a good deal. The guys are really nice, easy to talk to and respectful of the property. They give you all the basics to get started and teach you how to maintain the pool and use the equipment. During the build, a couple of fence boards got damaged by the concrete guys and Art had it fixed the same week I talked to him. Our irrigation line was not optimal for the autofill connection so it leaked, Art fixed it the next day ?? The different subcontractors also had nice team members show up.Hiccups: Daniel was our middleman throughout the project and he did NOT do a good job of relaying messages. I had to reach out several times asking when people will be here and what time. It was crucial for me because I had skittish senior dogs; one was snippy on a day people showed up unscheduled midday. Luckily nothing happened. There were also times a week+ would go by and I heard/saw no one due to vacations, delays etc. Or I would get a text the day before someone had to show up and occasionally, did not show up!!! They had to cut into the new pebbletec because step tiles were missed. The equipment pad was almost poured in the wrong place and with the wrong size. Luckily I was home that day to catch it. Overall the project completed 5-6 weeks after the estimated time. I understand things aren’t always in your control nor will they be perfect. I do feel the project could’ve been smoother and less frustrating at times if there were more frequent project updates and clear communication or even a PM on site with subcontractors to make sure things are correct. If I were to do this again, I’d be more hands on ??
I’ve never met a company more unprofessional. I reached out to them over a month ago to get a quote for a pool remodel. They seemed professional and courteous, so I decided to use them for the remodel. I signed a contract April 6th to get the work started and since that day I have not heard back from them. I reached out to them multiple times through text, calls, and social media to get an update and they never responded. When I called them, they forwarded me to voicemail and told me they’d call right back- and of course, never did. We were hoping to get our pool redone and ready for Summer, but thanks to this company I have to start all over with the process which now sets me back 1-2 months. I usually don’t write bad reviews, but I wanted to warn anybody who is thinking about doing business with this company to stay away.
Art, Daniel and everyone here was a pleasure to work with. They were concerned about our pebble tech and took special care not to damage. I would refer anyone to Art seeking a remodel or new construction. They replumbed the pool new deck and tile
Art and his son are the owners and they design and build beautiful pools!
Going w/Arts Pools & Spas was a great decision. The owner and his team always communicated every step of the process and are very detail oriented. Art kept me in check with some of my crazy ideas but was very helpful guiding me through my choices on all the aspects of the built. Extremely happy and highly recommend them for your pool needs.
