Randy helped us get exactly the hot tub we wanted. He answered all of our questions and kept us informed at all steps from purchase thru delivery and set up. 100% would recommend Randy at Unique Pools and Spas. Thank you so much for your great information and support.
When you spend $8000 you expect great service. Unfortunately that’s not always the case. I’m happy to say we had excellent service on our Nordic Jubilee hot tub. The installation went smoothly. They were here on time, got the tub down a narrow, curved path and installed in our spot. We had two warranty issues, one major and one minor. They took care of both issues promptly, even replacing a faulty pump while we were out of town. What’s especially remarkable is their maintenance location is over 2 hours from our home.
Many years ago, I owned a hot tub/spa when I lived up North. I was only recently prompted to consider buying another one by a friend of mine. After compiling a list of the different spa stores and retailers within 50-75 miles of where I live in. Northern Florida, I decided to go to Unique Spas and Hot Tubs in Jacksonville, since I learned they sell 7 or 8 different brands. Apparently, Unique has three different locations in the Florida area, with Orlando being the central sales and service location. All I can say is it was a great choice. From a sales, service and installation perspective, I could not be more satisfied.Randy, who is/was my sales person, happens to be quite knowledgeable about Spas generally. He is also straight up and direct about what he could do (and what he couldn’t do) and the various items he could add to the deal to “sweeten” it a bit. He didn’t push me to buy any particular brand but, was able to give me sufficient information so I could make an informed decision. After I settled on a Calspa Escape, all the other arrangements fell into place seamlessly and, before I knew it, my new hot tub was sitting on my pool deck. The Calspa did have one manufacturing defect which was corrected quickly and was attended to by the Unique service team - Another excellent experience. BTW- although i’ve only had my Calspa for three months, It seems to be boatloads better than the Thermo spa I had previously. Thank you Unique.
Let’s start my experience with the fact that I’m 100% disabled American veteran with both shoulders so damaged I cannot lift the Spa cover that you and I are used to seeing. When I came into the store, I was greeted by a man named Randy, who seemed to be a very likable guy we looked at several spas then we looked at two different hardshell covers one that had a finger assist that would lift the Spa covers and then a much cheaper one that would Lift each half of the Spa covered on an assisted lift which I tried and was able to do . I found a spa I liked and I asked several questions about it. Is it made in America? Yes, it is as I had an electrician take the cover off , everything you see is made in Hungary. I ask about how much it would cost to hook it up. The salesman said if you guys have the guys 100 bucks or so they will happily hook it up $1500 later I have my Spa hooked up. I’ve been waiting days to get this hard shell cover that would lift half of the cover so I could use my Spa they came today with a manual lift where I have to flip back half of the cover, which I physically cannot do ! and then lift both covers up with an assisted arm, which I have no idea how hard that’s gonna be because I can’t lift the front cover up . and then comes in the guy that smooth things over he said well we have parts that are made in America and it’s assembled in America. Well that’s not American made that was a lie 100 bucks to hook it up $1500. That was a lie . waited about a week and I can’t even use my Spa because I can’t lift the cover!,and they come out with this half ass cover and tell me I have to lift the front of it and all the immense pain My shoulders are in and then lift the whole thing. I cannot even use my brand new Spa and here comes the smooth guy from Orlando saying oh they don’t even make a hard cover for that well that’s not what I was told that’s not what I put my hands on. That’s not what I asked the salesman. Randy is this coming ? yesl we’re just waiting on your .hardcover to come in .and now they don’t even make one for it so I have a $10,000 spa that I cannot even use hundred percent disabled physically handicapped I cannot lift the spot cover and when they get through putting the all the screws together for this lift laying on the spa top is a bag full of rubber washers, I am quite sure are used to keep water out of where the screws penetrates the sides and use as a gasket on the metal but they weren’t put in
The sales and selection process was excellent. Took time to show me a variety of models and was able to answered all my questions. So far the hot tub seems to be a good fit for my needs.Unfortunately the delivery staff did not communicate well, failed to listen to instructions, used wrong driveway to enter the property, damaged the grass.Left all the shipping materials around my yard which I spent 30 minutes collecting and moving to the trash collection site.Hopefully the company will correct this post sale portion of their service.
