Recently had a new screened in pool installed by Griffin Pools. The staff and crew were great. They walked us through the entire process step by step and we're great at responding to random periodic questions. They did amazing work and really care about quality. I highly recommend Griffin Pools for all your pool needs.
In 2021, a very kind man, Paul, came and gave me an estimate for a pool. I agreed to the install for $70,000, they started in July, and it was a bit of a rough go with the workers and foreman, but they finished in November. Since then, the pump broke (thankfully within the 3 year warranty), the heater broke twice, the salt cell broke, the concrete chipped, and the lights are broken (all of these outside of warranty). I called the company a few weeks ago and spoke to a very lovely girl (Casey) and she said I could talk to Larry, the owner. He finally called me today (7-22-26) and I calmly and kindly told him all that has broken and asked him if it was normal for all of this to break after only 4.5 years. He was short and to the point about the equipment and how his hands are tied and their warranty is 3 years and that’s it. I kindly asked, “But, you all installed all of this, so do you not stand behind your work?” He escalated and asked me why I asked him that. I said, “well, I just wondered if you would be concerned that a pool you installed has had this many issues in such a short amount of time?” He was obviously annoyed and went on again about the equipment. He took no responsibility and expressed zero care to me or made any kind of apology. He said he could come and look at the chipped concrete, and I expressed that I wished that he had been more caring and he hung up the phone on me! I would never recommend Griffin Pools to any of my friends. My pool is useable. It’s 2-3 stars for sure. The service started out great in the very beginning, but was awful through the install and ever since. I wished I hadn’t called, but I wanted to try. I thought it would matter to Larry, but it didn’t. Nothing about me or the pool he installed mattered to him. Such a bummer.
We had a pool put in about three years ago with a paver deck. Our paver deck is very uneven over half the deck space. I reached out to Griffin several times with no response. Disappointed about that as we have had a good experience up to this point. We are now seeking a paver company to come out and correct the original work. We will also be paying for this ourselves which doesn’t seem right to me. The company that installed the pavers for Griffin installed pavers we didn’t order and then tried to talk us in to keeping them, should have realized at that point their interest was not in our best interest. We spent over 100,000 for our pool and didn’t get the quality we were looking for the deck portion. Disappointed!
