I’ve been a long time customer with Backyard Retreats. I recently upgraded my swim spa to a 17AX Aquasport from the 12ft FFP spa. Bjorn was very helpful in making it all possible without a hitch. Love my 17AX. Amazing swim experience with its smooth flowing jets. Self cleaning and so easy to maintain. Given the length of the spa, I was worried that the cover would be very heavy, it turns out, not at all. In fact, somehow seems easier. I would highly recommend the team in Oakville, headed by Bjorn!
After shopping around we went with a Canadian made Hyrdropool from Backyard Retreat. Why? Great service from Nick and his team at the store. Fair pricing and good promotions. Excellent follow through and communications with the sale and delivery. Just a very pleasant experience all around. I recommend them wholeheartedly. My only concern is Nick, the owner, is a Miami Dolphins fan. But he made up for that in other ways. Good job Backyard Retreat!
I recently purchased a hot tub from Backyard Retreat in May 2025, and I couldn’t be happier with the entire experience. From the very beginning, I had the pleasure of working with Björn, one of the partners, who was absolutely fantastic. He made the negotiation process smooth, transparent, and stress-free.From the day we closed the deal, everything ran like clockwork. Delivery was right on time, and the crew was not only professional but also very friendly. During delivery, one of the side panels unfortunately got damaged — but this is where Backyard Retreat really shined. Björn wasted no time in sending over a crew member to replace it, making the tub look brand new again. Later, I also noticed a small depression on the cover, and once again Björn told me I could come pick up a new one anytime.In today’s world, it’s rare to find a company that stands so firmly behind their customer service. Backyard Retreat went above and beyond, and that gives me full confidence in recommending them to anyone.After years of wondering whether I should finally upgrade to a new hot tub, I took the leap — and I’m so glad I did. Not only am I thrilled with the tub itself, but I’m even more impressed with the way Björn and the Backyard Retreat team take care of their customers.?????????? Highly recommended!
This is May 26, 2025, and the summer season officially started at our home yesterday once again!!! Bjorn (BJ) and his staff at the Backyard Retreat store have made our swim spa experience beyond fantastic. BJ is a great entrepreneur and he, and his team at Backyard Retreat are very professional, knowledgeable, friendly, confident, patient, supportive, and customer oriented. This is not just because they want to get the sale, but they certainly keep up with these qualities afterwards. Their store is impeccably impressive. We installed our Swimspa in the fall of 2021, and we’ve typically used it from end of May till mid-October of each year. During these years, we’ve got nothing but a lot of family enjoyment and fun, thanks to the best in advice, service, products and prices! The experience of the weekly maintenance of our swim spa is really effortless, all-in-all because we were properly guided by BJ and his team. Thank you BJ and thank you Backyard Retreat!
