I used this company to repair the concrete bottom of my pool and replace the liner last year. I cannot recommend them for any major pool work.
The work was completed 3-4 weeks later than anticipated.
The quality was very questionable. The bottom repair was done by another contractor in haste and in very hot sunny weather, which resulted in multiple cracks . The company promised that their installing team would fix them; however, those guys had no idea what I was telling them about when they came to install the liner.
I think the major issue with Efficient Pools is the absence of transparency in their pricing. They were ready to accept the job right away and sent their quote/first invoice without sending anyone over to see the pool first. The price seemed to be reasonable, so we accepted the quote and paid the first deposit. That was a wrong thing to do as we ended up spending over 2K (about 20 per cent) over the quoted price. It turned out later that the quote for bottom repair did not include a lot of necessary work, like removal of the old concrete chunks which Efficient Pools' prep team just left lying around at the edge of our pool for weeks. I had to pay another company to remove that garbage. The concrete contractors overbilled for their work. I contacted Efficient Pools' owner asking to call me to discuss the issue but he refused and kept requesting the incorrect amount billed by the concrete company despite my several emails advising that the pool measurements in the concrete bill were incorrect. In the end, they did agree to reduce the amount after another email.
After these billing issues we asked the owner to advise whether any additional charges should be expected. We never received any response. When our liner was ready to be installed, their team told us that all coping needed to be replaced and that it would cost extra again. It was the same team that prepped the pool for the concrete repairs almost 2 months before. The extra cost was 1.5K plus hst which they requested that we pay right away. After the coping got replaced, the pool was left with huge gaps between the liner and the top (see pictures), fixing of which of course was not included. That was another unexpected expense we had to take care of after we were done with Efficient Pools.
To summarize, this company may be ok if you require some minor maintenance, but if you need some serious work done, I strongly recommend that you make sure one of their reps comes over to properly inspect your pool and give you a firm price before you hire them.

Efficient pools had a good price point on my pool liner replacement. They were on time and on budget. No extras. The staff were nice and their contractors were professional. I will use them again.
