We had an incredible experience with this pool company during our stay in Panama City Beach, and we can’t say enough about the outstanding service we received from Mitch and Jessie. When we arrived at our rental property, the pool was completely green and clearly had not been properly maintained. Our family, including our young children, was so disappointed because we were looking forward to spending time in the pool. The property manager called the pool company, and after arriving and assessing the situation, Mitch and Jessie explained that the pool would require additional work beyond a standard cleaning. Unbelievably, the property owner declined to approve the extra cost!Even though there was no guarantee they would be paid, Mitch and Jessie saw our family’s situation and chose to clean the pool anyway simply because it was the right thing to do. That level of kindness, professionalism, and integrity is incredibly rare. They even promised to return the next day to check the water and treat it again if needed.Mitch and Jessie didn’t just clean a pool—they showed genuine compassion for our family. If you’re looking for a pool company with employees who truly care about their customers, I highly recommend them. Thank you, Mitch and Jessie, for your kindness and for going above and beyond. We will never forget it!
Nice guys but paid $750.00 for 2 hrs of work. The main thing I wanted done was fixing the 3 holes in my walls as I have a surgically repaired knee. They left so it can dry which I understand. They stated we will be back. Now I think I’m blocked. I was even going to hire them to paint my deck. I’m going to find someone else now. Thanks guys and the job well done.
I called Mitchell on July 1st to ask if he would be able to take care of my above ground pool. He said yes and came right out. My pool was a quarter full. Instead of having me drain it, and clean it, and fill it up, he added a ton of chemicals and told me he’d have it ready for swimming by the weekend of the 11th. Thursday the 9th he had it blue but it was very cloudy. He added more chemicals he wanted me to pay for, and I did. I left town on the 11th. I came back on the 13th. My pool was again green. I texted Mitch as I was understandably not happy. He asked me to pay him more money to add more chemicals, blaming the rain for my pool. At this point I have given him $1,360. $200 of which was a down payment on a filter. He is refusing to refund the filter money, telling me if he does, it will take 30 days. First he said 14 days, then he said he’d Venmo it, then he said 30 days. All of this is in text messages. I will be taking this to small claims court. This review will have pictures below. Please look at them. The first two are how my pool started. The second two are as clean as they ever managed to get it. The last two are photos of what my pool looked like after they added $1k in chemicals to it. It’s still not swimmable. But apparently it’s all the rain’s fault. ¯\_(?)_/¯ Buyer Beware.Edit: Your response was a lie. You’ve gone from turning my pool 1x to 2x to 3x. ?????????????? And if you don’t know how to do above ground pools, why do you say you do them? And now he is on my fb page telling me I don’t have freedom of speech. I added screen shots to the photos. Awww. He blocked me on fb. He doesn’t like bad reviews I guess. You want to know why you went from 5 stars to 1 star? You texted me 10 times the first day to ask for a review. lol. After two weeks, I saw the real work you do.Edit: The new pool guy came out. He said there’s so much algae growing in the pool he can see it waving in the current. He told me to empty it and he will power wash it and I CAN fill it with the well water (Mitch said I couldn’t) and we will start over. He’s charging me $400, which he said I can pay after he gets me in the pool, not $1,360 upfront like Mitch did. He’s MUCH better.
I hired Mitchell and Jesse to remove some very long term stains from my gunnies pool. The stains are about 75 % better after the first treatment. They came back today for the second treatment. They are dependable and easy to get along with. I hired them to come back tomorrow to clean and repaint my pool deck.
I had never used a pool service for my pool previously, but called Mitchell at Top Shelf for a bit of rehab & weekly maintenance. I was at my wit’s end trying to get everything just right with the pool, even after several decades of doing my own maintenance. Mitchell impressed me right away with his grasp of the problem(s) and proposed reasonable solutions at a fair price. Nothing about a pool is inexpensive, but he guided me between the important rocks and shoals without breaking the bank. Knowledgeable, professional, and “can-do” are attributes that come to mind. While they are just getting started, our interactions gave me confidence that our pool is on the mend and is in good hands.
