I really wanted to like this company. The design was excellent. The implementation was poor. We paid the last payment in October last year, and since then they have been really unresponsive. We’ve had multiple issues that needed corrections or repairs—heater hooked up incorrectly, wall that was not tiled on both sides, deck needing repairs, etc. Each request has taken weeks to get addressed. The latest is that we found the pool chiller didn’t work when we tried to start using it at the beginning of the summer. It’s been 3 weeks. When I ask about when they plan to address it, they assure me they are planning to get to it. This is a premium pool company whose customer service is below average.
They did a good job from design through the building timeline, though we had some issues with build quality and the service department, post completion. We had a pool deck drain issue that I was assured would be taken care of before the warranty was out and it never was. Now I’m having to pay to have it dug up and done properly. We also had pool shell cracks form that leaked, which is covered by a lifetime warranty, but the repairs didn’t match and looked terrible. Skimmers leaked and those aren’t covered past a year. I am giving a star to the design guy and onsite manager that kept things moving, but the service once we made that last payment went out the window. MAKE SURE YOUR BUILD IS 100% PERFECT BEFORE YOU MAKE THE LAST PAYMENT!!!
From start to finish, working with this team was an absolute pleasure. Our pool turned out even better than we imagined, and the design details made all the difference.The long bench seat, the rolled edge on the spa, and the turtle accents were such thoughtful touches and our guests notice and comment on it all the time. I love the modern features they use…the drains were a pleasant surprise because I’d never seen ones like these but they’re SO MUCH BETTER than others we’ve had.Our designer, Mark, made all the difference. He spent hours at our home vs other builders that came for 10 minutes, took some pics, and left. He mocked up such an accurate depiction of our home and it gave us the ability to see what we couldn’t with other pool companies. They all do a 3d walkthrough mockup, but until you see Mark’s, you don’t truly understand how bad the other ones are.We’ve already referred several neighbors, and we’d recommend them to anyone looking to build a pool.
Venture Pools just finished transforming my backyard from nothing to something amazing!! From the start Brad made sure to listen to what we wanted and designed our back porch and pool perfectly! We live right next to a creek so it was super important to make the design work with the way water flows into our backyard when it rains. Mark and Carlos had great communication about what was happening during the construction phase and answered all my questions when I had some. The ladies in the back were extremely helpful with the paperwork and payment schedules. Honestly it was an amazing experience and now we live on our back porch and are ready for the summer to start swimming!
This was our second build with Venture, and the experience was just as solid as the first. Mark understood my wife’s vision from the start and turned it into a design that needed no change orders. He added thoughtful details we wouldn’t have considered, all while keeping the look and feel she wanted.John managed the project with real ownership—communicating early, addressing issues before they became problems, and keeping everything on track.The finished backyard is exactly what we hoped for, and the quality shows in every detail. We love spending our time out there, and we’re very pleased with the outcome. We would absolutely work with Mark and John again.
