We just had a Fourth of July party and our pool has never been more ready. The water felt soft and refreshing and usually we deal with a lot of filtration issues post big parties but not this time. We were ready our pool was ready and we event got to enjoy today as well!!! Clear water, no itchy skin. Highly recommend.

I initially contacted Paul's Pool Magic for advice on pool maintenance. Paul, the owner, came out personally, provided several options, and was very pleasant and professional during our meeting.

The problem started after I accepted one of his proposals to drain my pool for $275. I had already paid a $95 service call fee, which I was told would be credited toward any future service. After accepting the proposal, I spent the next week trying to schedule the work and received repeated delays and runarounds. It eventually became clear that they had no intention of performing the quoted service.

What concerns me most is that the $95 service fee is promoted as being credited toward future work, giving customers the impression that the money will be applied toward an approved project. In my case, the promised follow-up service never happened, yet the fee was retained. It seems this may be one of their income-generating strategies—collecting service call fees with the promise of future credits, then failing to follow through on the quoted work. Do the math, 10 service calls week with no intentions to show up to do the job that's $950 a week.

People should be aware of this practice and make sure any proposed work, credits, and completion time frames are clearly documented in writing before paying any service fees. My initial impression was positive, but the lack of follow-through left me feeling misled and disappointed.
