The worst experience with a contractor/company ever. They seldom showed up or called on time and would not let me know when they were not coming as planned, did not keep me in the loop , did not return my calls, built the hot tub on the wrong side , pool cover did not work for several months requiring several rework iterations, drainage for cover compartment flooded which took months to finally have fixed, already had to have something fixed in equipment area and they were a year and a half late completing the work as per contract .
Buyer Beware! This company sold us on the idea of a pool for this summer -(signed contract in September 2020). Pool construction was to start on May 1st (unless significant winter rain). Of course, there was almost no rain this year. They don't take calls and their phone message is "full," when I email them, it takes approximately 2 weeks for a one sentence response that basically will say "we are starting on your pool in 2 weeks." That same response has been given to us since March of 2021 and it is nearing July, 2021. There are no drawings, no permitting process starting, simply NOTHING. What makes it worse is the lack of professionalism, respect and complete lack of any adequate communication on their part. In my 50+ years on this planet I can say without exception this is the worst interaction with a business I have ever had.
We contact Swan pool before they had a Santa Rosa office. There weren’t many pool builders in Sonoma County and most would return a call regarding an estimate. Tim was our first contact with Swan. We knew our project would be a challenge as the yard is small. Tim made excellent suggestions to make it work. The estimate we received was fair.The project took some time due to weather but Tim kept us posted and never hesitated to respond to emails, phone call or texts. The pool is exactly what we wanted and he suggestion appreciated. Easy to work with and went above and beyond!
In January of 2019, we were getting quotes from various pool contractors to have a pool built. We had already put down a deposit with one of them when I got a recommendation from a neighborhood Facebook group for Swan Pools. I called and Tim was able to come out the next day to meet with us. After meeting with him, we knew we wanted to work with Tim- he was very knowledgeable, easy going and down to earth. We knew he would be great to work with for the next few months & we were not disappointed.Throughout the process, there were a few minor snags, but mostly due to things outside their control (the town’s Permit & Public Works departments, along with rain storms). It took just under 10 weeks from the day our lawn was dug up to the day we filled the pool, but there were two weeks of no work due to the huge rain storms in May. Tim was very responsive to my texts or emails and did his best to keep the subcontractors on a tight schedule with their work.Overall, we were very happy working with Tim/Swan Pools and we have a beautiful new pool! If you are looking to have a new pool built or an old pool resurfaced, I would highly recommend Swan Pools.
