With every step from design to pool service, he gave us an array of options. Then he would make suggestions with no ego or attachment, just the calm assurance that comes from years of being good at what he does. Sometimes the suggestion was more expensive, but he showed how it would save us money in the long run. Sometimes his suggestion was not the most expensive, and he explained how the spendier option would ultimately cost more than we would value it. But he never gave us any feeling other than support and truly wanting us to be as happy as we could.

Ultimately he came in under budget and that includes dealing with a very unexpected discovery once they got digging.

He continues to stand by his work and I truly feel we could call him in a decade and he would still be a valuable resource. He built this pool to last. We love it and him.

After interviewing several pool contractors and receiving multiple estimates, we decided to hire Granite Creek Pools for our pool remodel, and we are very glad we did.

Our project included widening the Baja shelf, adding a new pool light, replacing the coping and waterline tile with beautiful Carbon Frost natural stone, resurfacing the pool and spa with Blue Surf Pebble Sheen, replacing the skimmer, making plumbing improvements, installing an autofill system, repainting and redesigning the waterfall and rocks cape, and several other upgrades. From start to finish, Dean was honest, knowledgeable, responsive, and easy to work with. He took the time to answer every question we had, explain the process, listen to our ideas, and never made us feel rushed or pressured into making decisions.

One thing we appreciated most was Dean's integrity throughout the project. He stood behind his pricing, absorbed several additional costs rather than simply issuing change orders, and whenever something unexpected came up, he discussed it with us before moving forward. That level of communication gave us a great deal of confidence throughout the entire remodel.

The quality of the workmanship exceeded our expectations. The Carbon Frost stone installation is beautiful, the waterfall looks natural again, the Blue Surf Pebble Sheen completely transformed the pool, and the attention to detail throughout the project really shows. It was clear that Dean genuinely cared about the finished product and wanted it done right—not just done quickly.

This was a major investment for our family, and the finished pool exceeded our expectations. Our backyard now feels like a custom resort, and we couldn't be happier with the final result.

I cannot recommend Dean enough if you are looking to build a high-quality, custom designed pool. Having built a pool previously, we swore we would never do it again. Fast-forward 10 years and after a move, we ultimately decided to build another one. We had friends who had used Dean and loved their experience and highly recommended him. Ultimately, we were looking for a custom swimming pool design to maximize space in our yard, while not sacrificing size or aesthetics. Dean did an excellent job from the start. He was extremely patient, willing to listen to our concerns/feedback, and incorporate requests into his design. He offered opinions when he felt necessary, guided us along the path and was always available to deal with questions or issues. Dean also kept to the budget that we were originally bid, a stark contrast from our prior experiences. I can also see how much Dean pride's himself in the quality of his/his team's work reflected in the finished product. His focus was on getting the job done correct and to a high standard, not rushing to move on to the next job. I also appreciated how much forethought Dean put into the job with things like ensuring concrete had ample sleeves to allow for future water, electrical, etc... to be put in, finding opportunities to add seating or deckspace and ease of future servicing.The attention to detail is really where Dean differentiated himself and we couldnt be happier with the design and deliverable. I also appreciate that Dean is still involved after the project has been completed, helping find contractors and answering questions.

Dean came in and listened which we found out is a rarity. He listened to what we wanted and he started sketching. He was open to changes and adjustments during the planning phase. He made our dream a reality. His workers showed up on time and worked hard. They were always polite and respectful. Dean made recommendations without being pushy. He wasn’t the cheapest but his quality of work and customer service is definitely worth it. I would highly recommend.
