Very nice people, however, they just closed our inground pool for the winter and where we used to pay $280 with Artesian Pools (who no longer offers this service) Skovish charged us $680.We have a virtually maintenance free saltwater pool that also has an automatic cover (so they didnt even have to cover the pool.) Its takes/took roughly 25 minutes to complete winterization of this pool. The charge for their service is absolutely absurd for the work/time performed. We will be doing it ourselves or with someone else moving forward.
Booked us 2 months out for a closing, we waited waited waited to get a call the weekend before our closing & they tell us it’ll be $550! To close a small inground pool. That’s insane. Cancelled & found someone within 1.5 miles from skovish that will come next week for $350. Don’t let them scam you.
For 2 seasons I've taken samples from my pool multiple times a week and for two seasons I had not been able to get my pool clear! Every time I go they tell me I need at least 3 different kinds of chemicals. They sold me hundreds and hundreds of dollars worth of chemicals but my pool never got better. Finally I decided to do my own thing and within a couple of days it cleared up! And it's been good for over a week now. The employees are friendly but they weren't very helpful and I don't believe they actually know what they're talking about. Johns advice was the only one that was semi- helpful. They are very young and I think they just recommend whatever the computer says.. They made a lot of money off me, selling all kinds of chemicals, but my kids didn't get to go swimming until over halfway through the summer!
I purchased a hot tub here a couple years ago. They gave me a fair price , but what really stands out to me is the customer service. I spoke with one of their sales managers a couple years after I bought it for a mechanical issue that was in place from an incorrect install from manufacturer and they went above and beyond to make it right.I can’t state enough how thankful I am to them for their great customer service. I currently live in scranton at the moment and I still try to get down there as much as possible for my chemical needs.I would highly recommend a purchase from them, also hot tubs are awesome I use mine a couple times a week.
Skovish put our pool in over 25 years ago, replaced our liner twice. They’ve fixed leaks and repaired concrete. Last year they installed a salt water component. They close our pool every year. We highly recommend Skovish for all your pool needs. We’ve been a customer for over 25 years. I think that says something about this company.
