What Went Well
• Quality of workmanship: The overall quality of work was strong and met our expectations.
• Architecture and design: The team did great architectural work carving out space for an additional room, bathroom, and a new garage by reworking the existing garage and expanding the living area.
• Problem solving and coordination: Dimitri was consistently responsive, agile, and open to working with us. He actively helped find solutions to issues that came up during construction and coordinated well to keep things moving.
• Responsiveness and ownership: Dimitri and Tim were highly responsive throughout the project. It was clear they put their heart into the work and genuinely cared about the outcome.
• Team motivation: The team stayed motivated and committed, even when progress was slowed due to Bellevue city codes and inspection delays.
• Accountability and care: Dimitri and Tim took personal accountability for the project and handled it with care and responsibility.
• Execution and flexibility: Yuri did excellent work in terms of craftsmanship and was very flexible with design suggestions. The quality of his work is strong, and we are very happy with the final space delivered.

What Needs Improvement
• Initial estimates: The initial estimate was not entirely realistic. It would be helpful to ask detailed questions upfront and include all possible scenarios to better align with the overall budget. For example, when removing the fireplace, the estimate covered only the surrounding floor area, but the entire living space flooring ultimately had to be redone. The same issue arose with the roof. These gaps significantly increased the budget.
• Older home considerations: Renovating a mid-century home involves special considerations such as asbestos removal and compliance with updated codes like earthquake anchoring. These items were not communicated at the start and were not included in the initial estimate. These risks should be discussed early and factored into the budget.
• City requirements: The city’s non-pervious surface survey, which is required to conclude construction, was also not included in the original estimate and caused delays and issues later.
• Payment communication: The pressure to release payments felt excessive at times. The volume and frequency of messages requesting payment were overwhelming, while responses to our questions or concerns were sometimes delayed. This created an uncomfortable experience.

Overall Feedback

Construction projects can have unknowns, especially in older homes. However, greater transparency around potential risks, clearer upfront communication, and early ownership of uncertainties would significantly improve the client experience.

Worked with Dmitry, Kirill, and their crew on a truly unique project to add a new office to our third floor in Seattle, WA, directly adjacent to our existing rooftop deck. This was a technically challenging build, but they absolutely crushed it.

The entire process was characterized by speed and efficiency, backed by clear, proactive communication from start to finish. What truly set them apart was their commitment to high-quality execution. The team went above and beyond, putting in the extra effort required to ensure all the complex pieces integrated flawlessly. The final result is a seamless, high-end addition. I highly recommend getting a bid from this crew for any construction or remodeling project you are considering.

I was attracted to AG and their team because we heard that every morning they started their work by a prayer meeting. It was indeed a God’s blessing to us to be able to work with them for our addition project. Dimitry, Tim, Ivan, Kate, Sergey, Peter, Victor … are wonderful people to work with, diligent and responsible. Dimitry, the construction manager, paid special attention to every detail of this project to make sure we were happy with their work. Our project was an addition on the back of our house on the existing deck, a challenging one in terms of blending the existing structures with new structures such that the integration would not only be strong but also look nice. The whole team performed professionally and meticulously for this beautiful project. It reminded me of a verse in the scripture: So in everything, do to others what you would have them do to you. (Matthew 7:12)

AG Construction delivered an outstanding remodeling of our primary bedroom, bathroom, and closet. Their budgeting and quoting were precise, accompanied by reliable and excellent communication. We considered a couple of crews to remodel our basement space. Work order included floor/door changes in the living space plus adding a bathroom and 1 more office room. We selected AG CONSTRUCTION and very happy with the choice. From the very inception to the completion of the project, we had 5 star quality service. Ilia, Petr and Vlad spent time with us to understand what we were looking for and modified the order and the quote based on our requests. They walked us through the estimates to make sure we understand what needs to be done. When the project started, we communicated via a group chat to make sure we discuss open issues and move forward as quick as we can. As part of the project, we had heavy construction / structural work requiring custom parts and the team finished it flawlessly. Eugene was flexible to accommodate some of our later requests as we decided to include a few more work items. He showed integrity when a few minor things didn't go as planned. Overall, I feel we build trust and currently discussing future projects together.
