We recently completed a major home renovation with The Y Group—including our kitchen, downstairs flooring, lighting, bathroom, bar, and built-in bookshelf—and we cannot recommend them highly enough. From start to finish, the experience was seamless, professional, and genuinely enjoyable. We moved into this home five years ago and always backed out of getting our kitchen done because we the thought of the time and utter inconvenience was daunting.

Enter Y Group…From day one, the team showed up on time, every day, and worked diligently and neatly on every aspect of the job. They took pride in their workmanship and it showed—every detail was executed with care. We always felt comfortable having them in our home and never once worried that our house was in the wrong hands.

One of the standout aspects of working with The Y Group was how collaborative they were. They asked for input where needed and really listened to ensure each decision made sense for us—both functionally and aesthetically. They guided us through the process without ever being pushy, helping us create spaces that fit our lifestyle beautifully.

A huge added bonus was that they personally accompanied us to choose the major materials. They took a genuine interest in the quality and longevity of what we selected. Their expertise helped us feel confident in every choice. Once the project was complete, they asked us to use everything and look around to see if anything can be fixed. They came over for weeks upon time to continue getting fixes done in a timely and neat manner.

What impressed us even more: they didn’t begin construction until all materials had arrived. Because of that, the project moved incredibly efficiently once it started—and to our delight, they finished ahead of the promised timeline. In the world of renovations, that’s almost unheard of.

Aaron, Johana and Paola - as well as our foreman Alfredo. All of them are simply fabulous. We never met contractors so professional, friendly and on top of their work ethic. It was a pleasure and we are definitely in love with our new space.
We are so grateful for their reliability, craftsmanship, professionalism, and partnership throughout this process. Our home looks stunning, functions perfectly for our family, and the entire journey was far less stressful than we could have imagined—thanks entirely to The Y Group.

We had a great experience working with Y Group Remodeling to renovate our bathroom. They were professional, communicative, and efficient throughout the entire process, starting with our initial meeting with Aaron, who took our list of requirements for the bathroom and quickly put together multiple options and quotes. One big perk for us that set Y Group apart from other contractors was the inclusion of designers who went with us to showrooms to select materials. Without Paola and Joana's design expertise it would have taken us 10x longer to select the exact tiles, flooring, etc., and I am convinced it would not have turned out as nicely!

The Y Group team was always available via text to give input and recommendations around any design choices. Along the way we added features and had to pivot from our original plan, and the Y Group team was always quick to accommodate and also very clear in sending revised quotes so that we were immediately aware of updated costs and timeline. The workers who came to our house were the sweetest father-son team who worked quickly and efficiently and did a great job of involving us for real-time decisions and bringing us in to review progress. They were clean and always left the bathroom tidy at the end of the day.

We had always heard that home renovations take longer and end up being more expensive than the original estimates, but in this case thanks to the team's clear communication, there were no hidden costs and they actually finished even a bit earlier than their initial estimate, which was an awesome surprise. We love our new bathroom and can't wait to work with Y Group Remodeling for all our future home renos. Thank you to Aaron, Paola, Johana, Alfredo, & Alfredo for everything!

I can not say enough positive things about my experience working with the Y Group. They completely remodeled two bathrooms and did an incredible refresh of my kitchen. From start to finish, they were transparent, communicative, thoughtful, thorough, and kind. You hear so many horror stories about construction, but Y Group is a dream. From my first meeting with Aaron, I knew I was in great hands. Johanna and Paola were with me every step of the way -- guiding the design process, keeping the crews on schedule, and answering every question. Ervin, Gervin, Water, and Martin and their teams did a spectacular job. They are collaborative and true professionals. I'll work with Y Group for any future construction needs I have- they are the best!!

We worked with Y Group Remodeling for our full kitchen and bar remodeling. The whole process of remodeling was stress free and seamless. Both Johana and Aaron were very responsive.
After the initial contracts were signed, Johana helped us with sourcing all the materials. I just had to provide some vision board for the kitchen and she managed to find a good amount of retailers we could choose from, They ranged from different price ranges, so we could go with the best retailer that suited our budget.
Javier and team were very diligent and paid attention to details. Their work was flawless and all the countertop work done was top knotch.
I have to mention Paola's design eye. She was so great to work with. I was not happy with the hood I ordered from Hoodsly, It looked plain and boring, but Paola suggest improvements to the look and it is currently the main focal point.

Y Group remodeled our 70 square foot bathroom in our house in Oakland. We walked five contractors through the job. All five contractors proposed on the remodel. Aaron and Johanna were the best combination of knowledgeable, insightful people to talk to and pricing. We asked to talk to two people they'd done bathroom remodels for. Those two people both confirmed that Y Group delivered the project for the stated price in the stated amount time. So we hired them.

They were an excellent team that brought a series of experienced, skilled suppliers and builders to the project. The main day to day people for us were Javi and Abel - both excellent people that we enjoyed working with as well. We were in almost daily contact with Johanna and Aaron via a Whats App group selecting products and materials. We had no architect or designer, we did all that ourselves with Johanna's advice - her advice was invaluable, the selection of products and materials is better for her. The work was done for the price quoted in the time stated. All three inspections with the City of Oakland were passed with no comments or delay.

The photos show the bathroom before during and after. It was a full demolition with much of the plumbing and electrical being rerouted and relocated.

We would not hesitate to use them again should the chance arise.
