We had some water damage in our basement. Amber Valley was quick to respond, friendly, and did a great job replacing our damaged floor with new carpet. Derek and Marc were great communicators and the work was completed in a timely manner even though it was during the holidays. We appreciate all their help and recommend AVC to others.

Update: they offered me $1500 to “restore my faith” in their company and “in the spirit of resolution” asked me delete this review. I declined- I felt it important to be honest. They opted not to pay the $1500 and instead just refunded the remaining deposit I paid which was around $443. Take that for what it is. I realized also the “sub contractor” they blamed the work on was the owner Derek. I will NEVER use them again. No integrity.

I hired them to stain my deck. It took several months of back and forth to coordinate. Then the painter walked off the job. They sent a replacement who showed with 2 kids. Not teens- actual elementary age kids that were working on something I paid to have a professional do. I’m all for teaching your kids- on your own projects that I don’t pay you to do. It was so poorly done I was scared to have them back to fix it with the quality they felt was acceptable. They did refund part of my initial deposit minus materials which is what I requested. I definitely would not recommend hiring them for any future projects. They left entire beams completely unfinished- there were finger prints, droplets, and uneven application.

They promptly quoted the remaining work and completed it beautifully. Their painter did excellent work matching the new trim perfectly. We're very happy with the finished project and will definitely use Amber Valley again.

We hired Amber Valley Construction to do some structural reinforcement in our attic according to Engineer drawings. We've worked with a lot of different contractors over the years at various properties, and I'm impressed with Amber Valley's strong business systems while still pricing things fairly. We received a very clear itemized quote in a short timeframe. Their ability to discuss the technical details of the project and brainstorm solutions to small anticipated challenges before we started the project was confidence inspiring as well. Communication throughout the project was solid. We plan to work with them again in the future.
