DeHaan worked with us to design and remodel our house into our dream kitchen and great room, which involved removing a wall, installing a support beam, new cabinets, new flooring, and a total reconfiguration of the floor plan. This makeover changed the "Oh what a nice house" into a "Wow! What a gorgeous home." The new kitchen is so much more functional while also beautiful. The DeHaan crew were polite, treated our home with respect, and worked famously with our dogs. They become an extended part of our family. While a major makeover can be stressful, DeHaan Remodeling removed that factor out of the equation. Don't get me wrong, a kitchen remodel can be expensive, but the quality of the work, materials, and eye for details was certainly worth it. We highly recommend DeHaan Remodeling to anyone who is looking for a remodel.

I have used DeHaan Remodeling for over thirty years, for perhaps a half dozen remodeling projects, interior and exterior. The photo I have included is from a vinyl siding project from 2012, showing the master bedroom and bath section of the house DeHaan added in 2000. My last association with Bob DeHann was a garage remodeling and cement driveway installation in 2016. We were new to Kalamazoo; we needed a contractor, and didn't know where to turn. We found DeHaan Remodeling online and checked some references. DeHaan completed a complete remodel of our ranch-style house which included finishing the walkout basement into a family room, bedroom and full bath, plus re-routing the stairs. On the main floor, they converted a small bedroom and old bath into a full master bath and laundry; they expanded the master bedroom, redid the kitchen and added a pantry plus a 1/2 bath. Their design ideas were terrific; they were professional to deal with throughout the project, and they were very accommodating to allow us to stay in our home throughout the project, which lasted almost a year. DeHaan and their subcontractors were all both skilled and great people to have in our home. On a project like this, you not only need good work, but you need to trust them with full access to your home. They are a quality operation all the way around. Thanks to their creative design and quality work, we'll be able to stay in our home for many years to come.

Would we have DeHaan Remodeling all over again? Yes indeed, and we did. They've just been back for a second project--demolishing our old deck and replacing it with a larger, maintenance-free version. Again, excellent work at a fair price from reliable, honest professionals.
