Riverbend has renovated both bathrooms in our home (one in late 2023, and the other in late 2025) and they surpassed our expectations both times! Thorough and thoughtful service, great communication, and we love the end result. Would certainly recommend!
It started out great with Scott and Brian before we started running into issues with unforeseen upcharges and bad workmanship. Problems started when I walked into the house while the subfloor was being installed and found that the crew had installed undersized floor joists. I had to ask that they redo the work correctly. We ran into similar issues down the road with poor framing and terrible communication from the project manager. I, in essence, became the project manager making sure that their subs came back to do the work they needed to do (and do it correctly) while paying Riverbend to do it. I hired Riverbend to GC this job and they essentially just let their subs run the job - no quality control whatsoever. If their subs cut corners, they don't do anything about it. I was forced re-do large portions of the house framing because the drywall couldn't be put on. We are currently in process of the job and Scott and Brian stopped communicating once I told them I'd like compensation for the reframing I had to do.. It's pretty disappointing..If you understand elements of construction and are willing to double check their work, Riverbend might be for you. Otherwise, I wouldn't recommend working with them.Update:Thanks for replying Scott, I've been waiting for a response since November 24th. You weren't present throughout construction so I don't think you can honestly represent what was done. I've attached pictures so you can see what I had to pay to have reframed after you all chose not to fix the issues. I would have been happy to make payment as I had at all previous points, but not when I'm paying another crew to fix issues.
Had a pipe burst in the wall behind the shower. Called a plumber to repair the pipe. He recommended Riverbend Renovation to remove the tub and shower, remediate the the water damage, and put in a new tub/shower.They came by first thing next morning to assess the problem, and brought dehumidifiers and air movers to start the drying stage. It was a lot of water and took 3 days to dry but the did a very good job. They started the reinstall the next morning. Brian from Riverbend explained the entire process, gave me an estimate and a timeline, and his crew started that morning, on a Friday. They came back Saturday and continued the install. They got the tub/shower installed (Brian helped pick it out-it was just what I was looking for) and caulked, and the drywall put up Saturday and undercoated it. The crew came back Monday and completed putting up the hardware and faucets, painted the bathroom walls and cleaned up the dust and contractor paper they payed throughout the house to protect the floors. They pretty much left it cleaner than it was when they started!!We were able to use the shower Tuesday morning, much to our relief. In the process, they even re- routed an electrical line misplaced years ago by a previous remodel.Brian and his crew kept me informed every step of the way. He returned calls and texts within 20 minutes. My wife and I couldn't be more pleased with the outcome. I would definitely use them again and highly recommend them.MetairieMan
Just finished phase 1 of our home renovation. We were so pleased the with constant communication during a not ideal process. The subcontractors were all great with their work and respectful while in our home. Would highly recommend Riverbend for your next home renovation
Fantastic, professional experience working with the Riverbend team. My bathroom renovation project stayed on time and on budget, and it turned out amazing!! I would definitely use them again.
