Johnson & Sons Construction just completed a remodel of our primary bathroom and laundry room. Estimates were accurate and all adjustments were clearly explained. I reached out to Johnson & Sons and several other contractors to discuss the possibility of opening up and completely remodeling my kitchen and bathrooms, with the addition of a shower to the former half bath off the master suite.

After receiving bids and meeting with each contractor, I went with Johnson & Sons due to the transparency and consideration Vic Johnson showed when discussing the project and its challenges, as well as providing a detailed quote. Because this remodel involved the removal of walls, tiling of the kitchen/bathrooms, potential size constraints, and a re-plumbing of the house, It was very important for me that things be done correctly, to code and with permits.

Once demo and construction started, things proceeded at a brisk pace with minimal lag between subcontractors, and inspections. Their tile guy, Tony was great to work with and very helpful with making the appropriate detail selections around the showers.

We did have a long wait for a cosmetic piece of cabinet siding, which ended up being the final part needed to complete the project. Vic was direct with me about the issue and the delay. Such a minor issue is in my opinion, very small potatoes compared to having quality work done.

Ultimately, Johnson & Sons came in slightly under their contract price - a very pleasant and welcome surprise.

Johnson and Sons Construction came through for us in an urgent situation; the vertical trim of the garage door opening accidentally got knocked in while the car was going in, which misaligned the garage door track and also cracked adjacent siding. Vic was very responsive and came out the next day to realign the trim and assured us that the damage was not structural (as a result we were able to quickly arrange for a garage door specialist to readjust and tune up the garage door system). He delivered on his commitment to provide an estimate to replace the damaged siding and have his team come out to do the work, scheduling us for within a couple of weeks. John and Tony did great work replacing the siding, which looks seamless and was made to ready-to-paint condition. Communication was clear and responsive throughout, and we received timely and good quality service that matched the scope of the estimate. I would not hesitate to contact them again in the future and thank them for the peace of mind in a pinch.

We recently worked with Johnson and Sons for the third time, and once again, they exceeded our expectations. Having previously remodeled two bathrooms and repaired flood damage, we entrusted them with our kitchen remodel. The team's professionalism, expertise, and commitment to quality craftsmanship were evident once again throughout the process. Johnson & Sons remodeled our 1990's kitchen and replaced all of the flooring on the first floor and staircase of our home during the months of May - August of 2022. We met with multiple local companies to bid the work and Vic's bid came in under or comparable to the other estimates we received. We chose their company based on referral, price, and comfort level with Vic. Vic is fantastic to work with. He is knowledgeable, responsive, and creates a culture of partnership on his team's projects. This was our first time tackling a renovation project of this scope and using a general contractor. Vic and his team made the experience comfortable and as enjoyable as it could be considering we had no kitchen! :)

There was a long wait time to get the project started due to Covid-caused supply issues on Johnson and Sons other jobs (we originally met with Vic in June of 2021 and the work did not start until May of 2022). It was hard to be patient, but it actually worked in our favor. Being able to choose and purchase materials in advance meant no supply issues or back orders once our project got started. Every sub that Vic and Jon used on our job or vendor he referred us to was professional, kind, and did a great job. If we ever had a question about quality or how the job was progressing (and we had a lot -- remember we'd never done this before!) Vic was patient, flexible, and worked with us until we were satisfied.

As our job progressed, issues within our home were uncovered that were not in the scope of work included in our kitchen remodel. A water leak was found in an adjacent wall when kitchen drywall was removed, and holes in our roof were discovered when the electrician was in the attic running conduit. Even though these setbacks were not part of our kitchen remodel, Vic's guys jumped in and found solutions or recommended sub contractors to solve problems.

There were multiple times that we had questions and within minutes either Vic or Jon were on site to address a concern or answer a question-- even after our job was complete.

We could not be more excited about our new kitchen or pleased with our choice of contractor. We are already planning to hire Johnson and Sons again to renovate our primary bathroom!
