MAC Reno Design Build

We began a relationship with MAC Reno Design Build in early January. We had a large unfinished room in the basement and we wanted it finished. We quickly realized that we had no experience to take this on ourselves and we wanted the work done to code. MAC Reno was the company we chose, and we were glad we did. They took care of every detail including getting the permits and lining up the tradesmen needed. Spencer, our project manager met with us and explained every aspect of the job. We settled on terms, signed some papers and they took care of the rest. Spencer was kind, polite, supportive and gracious throughout the project. Kelley, also a project manager who shared the work with Spencer while he went vacationing, was equally supportive and made sure every aspect of the job was done to our satisfaction. We were kept informed at evert step of our project with weekly reports and regular check ins. We even met the designer for our space but her name eludes me at the moment. John the carpenter was outstanding and did a great job. We felt that we couldn't possibly have had better and he was a great guy too, so we highly recommend him. John did all the framing and finishing work. He even installed plastic doors to prevent drywall dust from invading the house. Then there was the electrician who went above and beyond to ensure our lighting was exactly as we needed it to be. Again, my memory is not serving me well at this time but we want to thank him for doing exactly what we wanted. The team of drywallers got their job done in one day so we were impressed. This was followed up by John “the taper” who had to show up several times to do the taping and sanding over a few days. He was quite the character, and we enjoyed a little chat on a couple of occasions. He also did a great job. I suppose we could have hired tradesmen ourselves, but I feel certain that our reno would have taken much longer. MAC Reno took care of the schedule and once the job was started, there was an established schedule, and we knew exactly who was showing up on any given day and what they would accomplish in a certain amount of time. The project went smoothly, took just a little over three weeks to complete and we are very happy with the finished liveable space. I would absolutely recommend this company to take care of your renovation’s needs. They went above and beyond in my estimation and I couldn’t be happier.

This is my second project with MAC Reno, and once again, they exceeded expectations. Most recently, Liam and Bailey did a fantastic job removing the rotted wood around my gutters and balcony. They were incredibly professional and took the extra care needed to ensure everything was done right. My first experience with them was a kitchen renovation, where they executed wonderfully on our vision. I was especially impressed by the care they took to protect and integrate the existing cabinetry we wanted to keep. A special shoutout to Jennifer on that project—she took the extra time to truly understand what we were looking for. Her insightful feedback helped us up-level our kitchen into a space that will keep us happy for years to come. It is always a pleasure working with this team!

MAC Reno did an exceptional job remodelling our kitchen and ensuite bathroom. The transformation results are stunning! We worked with a great team led by Srdjo, including project manager Adam who was always very responsive and an amazing problem-solver, and masterly skilled carpenter Tim who is a true perfectionist. Renovations can be stressful but with the professionals at MAC Reno, you’re in excellent hands. They quickly addressed all our queries throughout our project and their workmanship is superb. The home renovation Mac completed for us more than exceeded our expectations. What started as a living/dining room and kitchen reno expanded to include the bathroom, ensuite and laundry room. The process and communication with the entire Mac Team and their Trades Group was exceptional throughout the project. Everybody was so respectful of our property. We recently had Mac Renovations do an upgrade to the fireplace in our living room. It was a fantastic experience and the entire team were awesome. They were all very professional and the communications were prompt and detailed. I can’t recommend them enough.

MAC carried out a number of repairs and updates, both inside and out, on our 46 year old home in 2024 /25. Our MAC project manager assisted us in developing our reno plans, listening patiently, remaining flexible, planning carefully, and staying positive and supportive of our goals throughout all stages of the work. MAC's organization of their carpenters and the various sub-trades’ work schedule was superb. The tradesmen themselves showed up on time, were consistently friendly, courteous and respectful, and did very skilful work in which they obviously took pride. We were amazed how if any issue arose, we were to report it immediately and somehow by the end of the day plans were in place for the problem to be solved. MAC’s constant communication with us, keeping us updated on progress and any need to tweak the schedule or work plans, was flawless. We have never experienced such meticulous communication, nor strong sense of "ownership of the job to be done," in any work setting as that shown by the MAC Team. Working with MAC Renovations on a major renovation — adding a loft to my heritage condo — has been an exceptional experience from start to finish. They also supported my goals of integrating smart-home automation and AI-generated design elements — with stunning results! MAC is strata-savvy and condo-friendly — their attention to compliance, certifications, and planning made them a pleasure for neighbours, council and building management to work with. Even the construction financing process was smoother due to their detailed contracts and warranty coverage. I relocated nearby during the project, and this was the best “reno-cation” I could have imagined. I now live in my dream home, and I cannot express my gratitude enough.
