Customer feedback is mixed. Positive reviews mention helpful coordination on insurance-related hail claims, persistence locating suitable materials, and solid outcomes on roof, siding, and gutter repairs. Critical reviews frequently cite slow timelines, delays in scheduling, and communication gaps during projects. Some negative comments also mention concerns with workmanship details.

Scheduling was easy and flexible. Did a great job fixing our roof beam and replacing the bad gutters. The team is very experienced and skilled. I would recommend Fortified Roofing and Siding for any Roofing and Siding services

They waited so long after a hail storm to replace my siding, it was two and a half years after the storm before my siding finally got replaced. Insurance won't allow updates to the claim after 2 years. The men that showed up didn't speak English and they started tearing siding down off the wrong side of the house. Took a long time to get them to understand they weren't supposed to pull that siding off.

I think it took so long because they completely forgot about my case until I reminded them at the end of 2024 to get a move on (not for the first time). Now at the tail end of the process after leaving me out in the wind for over 2 years after the storm they are nickel and diming me on the last invoice.

We had Fortified take care of our siding and gutter repair from hail damage, and I must say that they went far above and beyond and taking care of us. First of all, Megan spent countless hours working with our insurance company to make sure that we were taken care of properly, even going and trying to locate old siding which they haven’t made in decades. In the end, we ended up going with a much better newer siding that she had recommended and could not be more pleased. The siding crew was amazing, they took extra care and making sure that none of my wife’s plants were harmed, and I have yet to find even a hint of a nail or any scraps. The gutter crew did a wonderful job, the house looks like a brand new home thanks to these guys. Being a veteran, I wanted to definitely go with a veteran owned company and they really take care of their veterans. Thank you so much to Fortified!

Not recommended, use at your own discretion - this is not the work of true professionals.

Wow, had to leave a negative review to finally get some communication from these folks. Soffit rot in 3 places is absolutely due to your roof drip edge as your consultant Matt even said it would be repaired in the warranty. So tell me again, who is changing their story??? My original roof had no visible nails. My original roof was a lot flatter than your "superior" materials. So no, as you mentioned before I absolutely am not satisfied after spending over $5000 out of my pocket for these results. Nothing short of a refund will make me happy at this point. Last time I spoke with Larry he was not "happy" to speak with me. I'm sure he won't be now either

Overall, it seems they were so focused on getting the entire roof repair job, that my original request to fix the leak at the AC vent was overlooked and never fixed after repeated attempts.

I tried being nice and understanding on my previous review - but the recent and horrible warranty process and new issues has pushed me over the edge, so now you get this review.

See attached picture of 1 of 3 spots of their inferior handiwork. All of my soffit was 100% perfect before they ruined it with their inferior drip edge and rain over 5 years after their installation. I gave them time to fix this and a few other things they agreed to repair, but I did not receive any communication other than that initial visit. Warranty is out, soffits still ruined, peak was not re-installed correctly as we discussed, drip edge issues all over causing rot. This was over 6 months ago.

Matt Melton was horrible with his communication during the warranty issues, does he not know how to return messages after the first, second, or 3rd message left by your client?

Full story: Originally, In 2019, I had them come out and look at a water leak around my AC vent when it rained. Long story short, the entire roof was replaced mostly on my dime.

After signing on their dotted line, then spending an addl $3k on decking that they originally thought was fine, I was told that I also needed to spend even more money on an HVAC tech to work on the leak around the HVAC vent, as they don't mess with that. Fortified waited until they got the job and I had already spent a lot of money before telling me this. Yet this was the sole reason I had them out. I am now out a lot of money, have a poorly constructed roof ( I had 2 other companies look at it after replacement and they agreed), and they created several new issues that I personally had to fix, some were compensated for some were not. I wouldn't have had to go thru this had I got an HVAC tech to simply seal it. Wish I had known that up front. Bad on you, Fortified. Congrats, you got my money though. I just didn't get what I paid for.

I spoke with the original guy that bid my job, shortly after he bid my roof he resigned from Fortified, so we spoke man to man on the phone about how hard it is to find good help and other things, and even he couldn't believe some of the things that he seen his crew had done to my roof and he personally had to fix.

Let's see, 2 separate companies, and even someone within your own business are saying the job was done incorrectly.

Areas of shingles laid crooked (even I know how to lay shingles straight, and you are supposed to be the professionals), decking was not laid flat creating visible humps, now soffit rot and who knows what I am not seeing. On top of issues they created during the install process -

Overall unsatisfied. "0" stars if I could.

So now I get to spend another couple thousand dollars fixing their messes, I still have the original leak (btw I personally fixed this in 5 minutes by myself), and a disgusting roof to top it all off.

These are not pros. Just salesmen, and unorganized at that.

TLDR: No communication whatsoever. Will waste hours of your time trying to get some kind of update over phone or text. Months and months of delay. And now, some months later, signs of questionable workmanship. AVOID.

Severe hail damage on March 31, 2023. August 2, 2023, I signed a proposal from Fortified to replace the roof and gutters. Absolutely NO subsequent communication from Fortified that did not require multiple requests from me first. Months of delay re. "negotiations" with State Farm for the skylight replacement. Finally, on March 22, 2024 I received the first proactive item of communication I had ever gotten from Fortified: the first invoice. Roof was finally installed April 6, 2024. (Price of materials had gone up by then.) After multiple promises of "we'll be there next week", gutters installed first week of May. May 28, I noticed some shingles along the flashing were lifting up and texted a photo to the contractor. They sent someone out on June 5 to remove "debris under the shingles which prevented them from sealing tight". September 30, I noticed shingles lifting up alongside the skylight. Was told on October 18 it had been corrected, but they forgot to take the photos I requested. November 1, I get up on a ladder myself and confirm the shingles are still lifting up. Waiting to hear back now. I have waited, and waited, to leave this review so that Fortified would have every opportunity to address my concerns before I publicly criticize anyone's business. I'm done now. I wouldn't touch this company with a 39-1/2-foot pole.
