Shawn came in well below other major roofing contractors when I was bidding out a new roof on my home. I appreciate that Shawn didn’t waste my time with a sit-down and over-explained waste of time session explaining their work, just shot me the number and expectations for the project.

The team were professional in their timing and showed up every day around 7:00 and left by the time I got home around 5-6. The lawn and driveway were swept with magnets to pickup any nails and there was a very minimal amount of shingle debris I noticed and picked up.

All extras in cost were well communicated and known of well ahead of issuing a contract.

Adding vents was a common up-sale item from some competitors, but for Shawn it was just base bid, and that’s much appreciated.

Overall, the team was quick on install, and the roof looks great 1 month later with no problems thus far (installed Sept 2023)

One small issue is the finish on the roof vent caps were slightly scratched up, but for $5 at the hardware store, touch up painting was easy enough.

1 year update: Roof is still water tight, no complaints to date.

2 year update: Still no issues with the roofing install.

Shawn came out to give an estimate on a new roof. The estimate came in at half of the other 2 companies I looked in to. He said it would be the end of November. I contacted him around that time and was informed it was going to be after mid-December. Due to a leak, I asked if they could at least tarp part of the roof until it can be replaced. He told me he would be here Monday to tarp it and never showed. I contacted him again to at least confirm the roofing. I left a text, email and voicemail in a 2 week period and did not get a response at all. I had to take my business elsewhere because I have an active leak in my roof.

Shawn and his roofing team of Donahue Roofing/Construction did an outstanding job on replacing our roof!! There were some problems that previous roofers had let go, which he identified and recommended fixes that took care of the problem - and - created a beautiful home (to go along with the new windows and new house paint) that makes the house stand out. We highly recommend them, as they provided excellent work and reliability for a great value. Thank you to the Donahue team!

Shawn and his crew completed a garage roof tear-off and replacement for me this August, and I couldn't be happier with their work. Shawn was pleasant, communicative and fair. His crew were punctual, respectful and very skilled.

The whole job was completed to perfection within approximately 5 hours. I can honestly say that my experience with Shawn and his crew is the best I have ever had for a contracted job. I will be referring him anytime I hear someone mention a roof.
