Yorkshire Roofing replaced our shake roof with an asphalt shingle roof. We are very pleased with their work. Everything they promised to do they did. Their workers were sensitive to the life of our family as they went about their work.
We hired this company to replace a large flat roof at an apartment complex we manage. On day one they began blindly shooting thousands of large screws into the existing roof decking to secure an underlayment which shorted and compromised all of the electrical for the building, even after I let them know one apartment lost power for no apparent reason within the first hour or so of their work.Kenny, the owner (or project manager?), immediately declined to accept responsibility for this, and threatened to leave the jobsite if we didn't pay for the electrician. He was extremely rude and unprofessional, and somewhat of a hot-head. With 22 apartments without power, we had a gun to our head and ended up paying for electricians to perform the "emergency service" which was extremely expensive and took several days. With no power for several days we had to pay to put tenants in hotels and reimburse them for everything in their refrigerators. Kenny even had the nerve to charge us an enormous amount to tear off and replace some of the roofing they had already laid in order to correct their big mistake. With rain in the forecast and Kenny's threats to pack up and leave unless we paid, we had a gun to our head once again. The cost of this re-roof ended up around 50% more than the estimate, and the stress for everyone on our end was unimaginable. Not to mention they had to cut a large channel along the entire length of the roof which they did not seal other than with the flimsy plastic(?) roof they placed on top of it, there are seams everywhere, and so if water ever found its way under the one of those seams multiple apartments will flood and we'll have no idea where the water is coming from.We filed a complaint with the licensing board, and are surprised to see their license is still active. These people are negligent, incompetent crooks!
Very professional and competent team. Staring from Sales to Scheduling to project execution to customer support - all departments are led by professionals with strong focus on quality. I recently had my re-roof and gutter installation project with them. Roof project went great but there some minor issues with gutters for which they were very responsive to fix on time. Special thanks to Chris who once came himself to fix my gutter when backend gutter team was not available.
Great company--highly professional, competent, responsive, and ethical. Installed 17 solar panels for my home this past summer (2023), did it fast and efficiently and continue to respond quickly to follow-up questions, etc. Definitely recommend.
I highly recommend Yorkshire Roofing. They were super responsive, reasonably priced and did excellent work on our roof. The estimator Steve Disch is a true professional - he sat down with us and went over all the options and spent a lot of time explaining everything. I assure you, you don’t get that kind of customer service with other roofing companies (I know firsthand - I got a lot of low effort estimates from companies who looked at my roof for like 2 minutes and hardly spoke to me)Yorkshire was pretty booked up and we were scheduled out a few months. However, they helped us right away when our roof started leaking and put up a temporary patch that held up great until they could get to us on the schedule. The workers were thorough, always on time and did a great job, the roof looks great and we are so happy with our decision to use them.
