Please be careful when hiring, having 100's of positive reviews in such a short amount of time can be a sign of fake reviews in my experience. I hired Up and Over Roofing for a full roof replacement that included dormers leaking, and the experience was extremely frustrating from start to finish.

Communication and project management were inconsistent. The project appeared to lack supervision, and coordination between office staff and field crews was poor.

After the roof was replaced, leaks around the dormers continued. Several follow-up visits did not fully resolve the issue, and explanations kept changing by shifting blame to the siding, dormers, etc. A proper water test was never performed before or after the work, which would have helped identify the source of the problem. The ongoing issues caused added time, expense, and frustration.

I’ve included photos that show numerous visible underlayment from inside the attic — something that should never happen after a properly completed roof installation. These photos accurately reflect the quality of work I experienced.

In my opinion, this project demonstrated poor oversight and workmanship. I would personally not use this company again

**Reply to owners review. I appreciate your response, but several points you made don’t accurately reflect what occurred during my project, your review is different from what I was told and experienced.

I was never told dormers need be removed or it will affect the roof performance, not once was I told this. If I was told that why would I pay thousands for a roof and want a leaking roof, I hired them to replace the roof and fix the leaks around the dormers? When they started work I asked about the dormers as I pulled up and said how are they? The worker said wobbly. Just wobbly. When I asked is that going to affect the project? What does that mean? I got no answer so I assumed they were fine. From my experience this contractor will not take ownership of their failures and changes answers when confronted.

The leaks started immediately after the new roof was completed and have continued despite several return visits. My concern has always been about workmanship and communication.

My photos clearly show numerous spots of visible underlayment from the attic—something that should not be exposed if a roof is correctly installed. I shared my experience so future customers can ask the right questions and verify details before committing to major roof work. This review is based solely on my direct experience.

My experience with this business started with calling Natalia Merolle. She was quick to reply, gracious and informative. I explained the roofing needs were for my 88 yr old mom who lives in Murrells Inlet. My brother Chris and sister Virginia who also live in the area were the points of contact. My hours at the hospital were not conducive to being at her home. Mr. Merolle and his crew inspected the roof and submitted their estimate. My siblings said their plan was head and shoulders above the competition. After permission from the HOA they were able to start on the roof immediately... They also installed new gutters and removed the old skylight and put in a new one with an automated blind. Their clean up after completing the job was flawless, not a nail or roof tack to be found on the site. I would recommend this business to anyone that needs these services. I shopped around and had a few companies give estimates. Dealing with Matt was a true pleasure. He was honest and did not push you to sign today. The crew was fantastic from the moment they arrived and took great care preparing the grounds before starting. They were precise in the job they did and after clean-up you would never know they were there. I would highly recommend UP & Over roofing. Thank you for my new roof

I am beyond happy with up and over. Weather delays they kept me informed. Today showed up on time. Someone was constantly picking up cleaning up. My roof looks amazing and doesn’t look like someone was here today. They cleaned up so well I haven’t found a single nail. The color is lighter than pictured which I was happier with. The communication and quality of work are amazing. Crew was friendly and fast how they work together. Recommend if u need a roof call them best at the beach

It was the best choice I made when it came to replace my roof. I called them to estimate my my roof replacement and they scheduled me so fast like next day Chad showed up at my house. Everything was well explained in my estimate price. they showed up at 8 am and everything was done by 11:30am I was really impressed with their work pace and outstanding job. I would definitely recommend Up & Over Roofing to anyone looking for an excellent quality roofing needs.
