E2 had excellent communication, quality service and product, and got our Solar installed without any issues. Very happy from initial estimate to final install.
Update: The owner responded to my review claiming this was from another company, however that is not the case. What's even worse is the management team reached out to me and is now lying to customers on Google trying to cover up their mistakes. Read my original review below. BUYER BEWARE.I recently received a solar installation bid from E2 Solar and wanted to share my experience to help other homeowners make informed decisions.First, it’s important to note that E2 Solar is not a local Oregon-based company—they're out of Idaho and only recently obtained their Oregon business license in the past year. While that’s not inherently an issue, it raised some concerns about their long-term presence and accountability in Central Oregon.Unfortunately, my experience confirmed some of those concerns. The sales rep we met with was extremely pushy and seemed more focused on closing the deal quickly than understanding our home’s specific needs. Throughout the conversation, there were several moments where the information provided was either misleading or outright incorrect—for example, exaggerated claims about local rebates and inaccurate timelines about federal tax credits. After some due diligence on our part, we discovered they had misrepresented a few key points in the proposal and were not being transparent about their equipment or installation process. When we brought this up, they deflected and we caught them in a clear contradiction.Bottom line: we didn’t feel comfortable moving forward with a company that lacked local roots, seemed to prioritize sales tactics over honesty, and couldn’t provide clear, verifiable answers to basic questions. There are reputable, experienced solar providers based right here in Central Oregon who know the market, support our local economy, and can provide a better level of trust and service.I’d recommend doing your homework and seeking out a locally licensed and community-supported installer with a proven track record.
I had two different systems installed by E2 solar. Chose them because they were local and passionate. Had a couple issues such as when they serviced they forgot to plug my system back in so it was down for a few months and then it turns out they had drilled a hole in my roof that caused a leak in my bedroom. It took over six months for them to admit it was them and only after I paid a contractor to prove it. To their credit they did eventually take responsibility and cover the costs to repair. I was giving them the benefit of doubt on all this and not posting a review. However, I just spoke with them and asked them to help me understand why my inverters are not reporting any data (meaning they can't provide the service they promised of monitoring). We scheduled for them to come out and they just notified that I had to pay them $200 for them to come figure out why their system is not working just to get them to come out. $30,000 later I'm out on E2 solar and would suggest find a different company. - Update I upped the stars as this review seemed to get their attention and I immediately got a call from Rob the owner. He was super friendly and got his team to respond to my ask for help and both my systems are back up and running. Cost me $1000 because the warranty was only 5 years on the inverter instead of the longer warranty for my panels but I appreciated the personal phone call and follow up.
We initially contacted E2Solar as they were a local company.I was impressed with their quick response. Mason came out to talk to us, took measurements and spent time explaining all aspects of the process as well as providing an estimate and explaining all possible state programs that we could take advantage of.The people who came to do the work were very friendly, knowledgeable and efficient. The entire installation process was completed in less than 3 days. The county inspector who came out was extremely complimentary about the completed work.We had some questions after the fact and Rob came out and answered all our questions.I would not hesitate to recommend e2solar..
E2 Solar helped us with a tricky installation on our barn that other "quick-flip" installers didn't want to deal with. Mike took the extra time to work with Bend Electric to get the out-of-code electrical infrastructure on our property ready to accept solar, meet Central Electric Coop's requirements, and pass county inspection. The E2 team was promp, professional, and courteous every step of the way. They really are the local experts and I'd recommend them to everyone.
