One of our 12-year old micro-inverters was no longer working. I called Hi Definition Solar who installed the system in 2014, and they explained that this was their busy season, but would send someone out asap. One of their techs was in the area and came by to install the new micro-inverter. After 3 days, It wasn't reporting production so I called Hi Def back and they took care of it that day. I got a call from the technician and the inside manager a total of 4 times to make sure it was taken care of and working. I'm very happy with their customer service and follow-through. They totally replaced our roof in 2015 and re-sloped it with the goal of re-routing the draining water to a better location. I highly recommend them and have always had a good experience with their technicians.
Company was great a first, install was easy with minor issues with getting the complete information. Several years after install, customer service sucks and in my opinion rude and condescending. With long waits to even get a tech to call and schedule a service check.
This company was an absolute nightmare from the beginning. Everything they told me was lies. They said the number of panels I got would cover what I was currently using and plenty more since I was planning on starting a family (was living alone at the time). The panels BARELY put a dent in my bill!! The installers were absolutely unprofessional. They showed up at my house unexpectedly and helped themselves into my backyard, not cool when I am a woman living alone and see a stange man creeping around in my backyard! Panels were offline for months and smud came out and notified me of a problem not the supposed 24 hour monitoring system they have tracking the panels. Apparently it was installed incorrectly by the so called highly skilled professionals. They did provide some reimbursement for what they think would cover the time offline (not enough in my book) but the time I have spent dealing with this nightmare of a company has been worth more than any savings from these panela! Do yourself a favor and RUN FAR FAR AWAY from this company. If there was anyway I could do a return I would! Believe me I tried!! The A+ diamond trash is all a joke!! This company is the biggest scam I have ever come across, after a few years of dealing with them I finally gave up and accepted i have been scammed.
High Definition Solar has been great to work with. They were amazing when we first installed, the sizing of our system has been 100% on point and they have always been extremely fast in their customer service. We recently had an issue that needed to be addressed and they were very responsive. Joel coordinated everything and Clint and Guillermo were on site handling everything on a very timely and professional basis. I appreciate how they handled the whole process. Very collaborative and great to work with. I highly recommend this company!
When I first got my solar panels installed by HD Solar I gave them a 5 star rating. Everyone I worked with was professional, knowledgeable and helpful. No pushy sales. The whole install process went smoothly and their product is state-of-the-art.However, after several years I am revising my review. A number of times I have had a problem. Once with a panel going out and having to be replaced and twice a micro inverter (?) having to be replaced. Their customer service is very very poor. It took numerous calls and several weeks to a month to get these problems addressed. Now waiting yet again to get a problem resolved.
