Reviews are mixed, noting efficient installation crews and clean, one-day installs on many projects. Several customers report delays in communication and service follow-up, especially around activation, inverter replacements, or wildlife-related issues. Others mention clear planning updates and a smooth inspection process. Overall feedback highlights good on-site workmanship with inconsistent responsiveness after installation.
816Solar installed 25 solar panels on my roof several years ago. We have a lot of squirrels that live around our house and they ended up making a home under our solar panels and damaging some of the wiring along with the roof. It took two months of calling to get them to help get the squirrels out and, by the time they called me back, the squirrels had made a hole in my roof. It rained and I had water pouring in my kitchen. They finally helped remove the squirrels, fixed the hole in my roof, and installed the barrier around the panels. They did not, however do anything to help repair the damage to the inside of my house. Another situation arose back in October 2025 when several of my panels stopped working. I called them for several months without anyone fixing the system completely. UPDATE 2/18/26 - I’ve received a lot of help over the past week…possibly new management. They came out and got my system back up and running. Upgrading my review to two stars. Stay tuned for further updates pending help repairing my ceiling.
I got solar last summer under sold under the pretext that it would replace most of my electric bill. It has not by far. I now have 2 big bills all under a fixed income(im on disability). When I was initially sold it, i told the sales rep I was out of state to visit my family and would handle business when I got back. I got bombarded w e mails and phone calls the whole time while gone, and even after I got back if I didnt respond in a day or 2 theyd be blowing up my email and phone again.Fast forward to roof install which mine was bad, and the company they contract with is sloppy on details and talking to each other on time lines and details. Roof install took longer than expected than they didnt do right which took another month to sort. After solar finally installed, their finance company was double charging us the first few months before christmas. Talk about making a tough time already that much tougher. This I believe was due to being bombarded w paperwork so much that the solar co wasnt detailed in what forms they were sending and we somehow got double signed somewhere.Long story short so far I was sold a sys that would reduce my bill down to 20 to 40 a mo when my elec bill this winter has been nearing 80 to 100. Now i have a solar panel to pay for on top of it.If you or anyone u know is on a limited fixed income please dont let them buy into this. Its easily eaten up whatever was left of any wiggle room I did have on my budget. I either got sold too small a grid or flat out lied to.The installers and the people at the office are friendly and easy to work with so thats why this has 2 stars. If not for them this would be a 1.If I were in better financial shape and a person that was able to work I would be easier able to afford this but that doesnt excuse the lack of performance so far.
I had 25 solar panels installed by the 816SolarPros on my house and the garage on Nov.5,2025. Those guys did a GREAT job!! They did not inconvenience me in any way and most of it was done in just 1 day. They did a very neat job and were very courteous and friendly. I am happy to give them a 5 star rating and I highly recommend them.Great job guys! Thank you!!!!
Installation crew is great. The customer service is almost non -existent. Panels were installed in August. It took until October to get Spire out here with the new meters. Once that happened, nothing came online or produced anything,. It took two weeks to get a response and get someone out here. I still had one inverter that was dead, which they RMA'd. Now it's been sitting here for 5 days. I contacted them that day and still have no response.
The team at 816 Solar did an outstanding job on our installation and we couldn't be happier. Each step of the way from planning, scheduling, and inspections, they kept us informed and were super responsive and easy to work with. The installation itself was also a great experience. The materials were delivered the day before, and installation was completed in a day. The team worked great together, did very professional, conscientious, high quality work. We are super happy and would recommend these folks to anyone considering going solar! =)
