Overall sentiment trends positive with many homeowners praising follow-through after activation.
Solar Topps was great to work with! We never felt pressured into something we didn't need. They communicated with us and kept us updated throughout the process. The installation technicians were respectful and always left our property clean. We will definitely recommend them!
Very glad we went with them. Have friends who went with another company and our experience was seamless. My friends not so much. Always available and responsive. Installation was top quality. Passed our city, fire, and SRP inspections first time and they set them all up for us. One Powerwall we got didn't work on activation and the owner was at our house, on the phone with Tesla who authorized a replacement - which was done within 2 hrs of finding out it wasn't working. Nothing but good things to say about them. Definitely recommend.
In good conscience, I could not recommend this company. I went through Energy Sage when we wanted to expand our existing solar system and add more panels and a battery. I worked with Sean originally and he was great - explaining the needed panels and helping us choose a battery. However, once the project was passed off for design and installation we experienced many delays, 2 inspection failures, issues with our electrical panel and many, many issues with the monitoring system. We started the whole solar addition process in June of 2025. We did not get solar installed until the end of August and it was not turned on the end of September. We were without solar for three weeks - even on our original system - which was never discussed or mentioned. We had major issues with the monitoring system via the Tesla app where it was still showing power coming from solar long after the sun was down. This made the whole system, especially the battery, not work correctly. This was finally resolved at the end of October which is when we started finally seeing the solar and battery work together. As time went on, we've slowly realized that our electrical panel, which they promised was moved across 1-to-1, was mislabeled. Circuits have been swapped around and AFCI breakers we had installed because our house has very old wiring were no longer on the correct circuits. 2 of the breakers appear to no longer have any connections at all where they did previously. I reached out to Solar Topps to fix it as our microwave had been tripping. They sent out a technician who was very rude, maintained everything was moved across 1-to-1, took a phone call while working with me and told whoever was on the phone that the "customer didn't know what they wanted." He was set to remove all the AFCIs we'd had installed previously before I intervened rather than try to figure out what had been moved incorrectly. I also reached out to the original man, Sean, I'd worked with explaining the situation and he seemed concerned. However, it's been over a month and I have not been contacted further and nothing has been fixed. It's been an incredibly frustrating experience with mistake after mistake and poor communication. I would not use this company again.
Great experience with Solar Topps installing 10.4 kW and a Tesla Powerwall 3. From the early sales proposals to the panels going live, their communication was top notch. Between city inspections, APS paperwork and getting equipment installed Solar Topps clearly communicated each step of the way and set clear expectations on timelines.Never realized what a complex space getting solar is. The actual install itself took 3 days (battery, conduit, electrical panel upgrade and solar panels) but the permitting, inspections and approvals were the long haul which took around 90 days - again, I didn't have to do anything. Solar Topps took care of the whole experience. Thanks to Mark, Jesus and the installer team, Raj and Nitish for excellent communication and workmanship. If you're curious about solar, my recommendation would be go as big as you can with your budget in terms of panel array and definitely consider a Powerwall. Given our past APS bills, our current system will pay for itself in 6 years. Thanks again Solar Topps!
I used Solar Topps to add a battery system to my existing Solar. Not only did they do a superb job of installation, they were instrumental in gathering information that was needed to property monitor my system. I wish I would have encountered Solar Topps when I installed the solar system because their customer service is just simply outstanding!
