I have been dealing with Coast to Coast Solar for 15+ years. They do what they say at a fair price and in a timely manner. The team of Anthony and Mike were meticulous in their work and very polite. Thank you for your performance guys and thank you to Gary and Melissa for putting the team together. Also I want to reach out to Stephanie to thank her for her input into my project.
Original April 2024 review:I wanted a specific REC solar panel that would perform best in the hot Florida sun. I went to the REC website and got a list of “REC certified ProTrust” installers and found Coast to Coast Solar (CTCS) among others. By this time, I had already dealt with other companies and got plenty of high pressure, high prices, and false claims. CTCS gave me all the info along with a price quote and no pressure.I chose Coast to Coast because of their length of time in business, favorable reviews, and clean BBB record. The price was competitive, even when compared to quotes for smaller systems and lower tier (less expensive) equipment. CTCS also put their written 10-year bumper to bumper warranty in plain understandable English… some companies were vague about their warranty or would make verbal promises that did not match their written warranty.I ended up going with REC Alpha Pure panels and Enphase equipment/batteries. The REC panels work very well and Enphase equipment is sleek, attractive, efficient, and works well. I can always pull up my live data from my phone or computer and see how much power I am producing, consuming, importing/exporting in real time. I can also pull up historic data for past days/weeks/months/years/lifetime and can download it.From the time I signed the contract and paid my deposit until my 9.1kWh system was installed took about 10 weeks. The installation was performed by CTCS’s own employees, not 3rd party contractors. Dave and the guys did a phenomenal job with the install. I have been installed for about 4 months now and the system/production exceeds all of my expectations. There was one hiccup with a factory defect in a piece of equipment and it was taken care of to my complete satisfaction.Update August 2025:I have now had solar power for almost two years and I have received Duke’s minimum bill of $30 + tax ($30.80) every single month since January 2024. Coast to Coast advised me not to oversize my system and they were right! I upsized a bit for a little more wiggle room and produced an extra 2,211 kWh of excess power my first year… and Duke paid me a whole $50.72 which comes out to an eye popping 2.29 cents per kWh. This brought my total Duke payments for 2024 down to $318 for the year which is ~$26 a month. My system performed perfectly during hurricanes Debby, Helene, and Milton. I am SO GLAD that I added batteries to my system. When the grid went down, I always had power and even ran extension cords to my neighbor's house as I produce more electricity than I need during the day time. The batteries kept us going, business as usual (lights, TV, fans, hot coffee, cold refrigerator/deep freezer) while pretty much everyone else in the neighborhood was stuck sitting in a hot, dark, quiet house. We had two more random hours-long overnight power failures in the past three months (one blown transformer, one underground short circuit) and my power didn’t miss a beat.
This company is truly the best solar company around. They were strait with me about my old solar panels and provided the information I needed to make a good decision. Their panels is made in the USA.
We had a pool heating system installed. (by another dealer) The installation was not up to par, and that dealer was not being helpful. With help from the manufacturer, they got me in contact with Coast to Coast. Two nice gentlemen came out today, reinstalled the 9 panels, and installed the proper Brackets needed to keep the panels from shifting on the roof. They did the job quickly and professionally, can't say enough about how professional they were to me. And Melissa did a great job keeping me informed through emails. Thank you to all involved at coast to coast
