Yeaaaa dont trust this company. We bought a house with a contract through Momentum Solar and the prior homeowners paid off the panels. We bought 2 battery backups including installation. We had to call Momentum Solar multiple times to get updates, all to find out they had the approval to install the batteries from the city for 5 days. On top of all that, their company "inspector" was here for 10 min top and didnt set proper expectations with us, nor the installers. The installers have been here 3 separate times to install, set up, and fix the batteries and its STILL not done. We have to have ANOTHER inspection for post installation through the city, yet Momentum Solar cant give information as to what documentation is required. When we call to get updates Momentum Solar's customer service representatives don't even know what is going on through our profile. To add salt to the wound, we found out over THREE MONTHS after we bought this house the prior homeowners still had access to the app and our panels because when we contacted Momentum Solar in November, they failed to tell us theres a transfer fee and the transfer was never done EVEN AFTER we told Momentum Solar we bought the house and sent all applicable documentation in for whatever process they needed to switch out owners. Now we're waiting at the 2 week mark, still waiting for Momentum Solar to finish what we hired AND PAID THEM $15,000.00 for everything. When we've spoken with the account manager he said he'd call us back within the hour and its been over 24 hours waiting for that call. 0 Stars, I do NOT recommend this company for their solar system. It's bad when WE have to call into Momentum Solar to get updates when Momentum Solar was supposed to call us. WE had to call into Momentum Solar to get those updates and we had to call to schedule the installation. 0/10 DO NOT RECOMMEND USING MOMENTUM SOLAR!

Reported a roof leak to Momentum (at least my second roof leak) and was scheduled for someone to get back to me in 2 weeks. When the person called back they scheduled me one week out for an assessment??? And then they'll send someone to fix if they feel it's from their installation???? It's raining alot in Florida and I have to be telling anyone visiting me that Momentum solar taking forever to fix this leak (I have a pan in the middle of my living room to catch water). How is this good business for Momentum to take so long to repair people's roof????

UPDATE: 9/2/2025

Momentum came today 9.2.25 and made repairs, not just to assess, which was fantastic.
I'll have to wait for more rain to test but hopefully they got it right.
It's going to be a hard sell for me to recommend Momentum if the response time is too long. I suppose they may have labor shortage (they have not said that I'm trying to be nice to Momentum) since so many hard working reasonably priced immigrants have gone back home and now we are left with a set of over priced local labor to do home repairs?

It was a big mistake to choose Momentum solar by spending more than $20K, almost 6 months for the solar and battery installation process at our house has not been completed. Communication between the team in the field and the office as well as between departments is very poor. I, as one of the customers who became a victim of their unclear management. When trying to contact their customer service 800 momentum no one answered because they closed this department, when we tried to contact via email it took several days for them to respond to our email with uncertainty and did not answer our questions at all. We highly do not recommend Momentum solar as an option if you want to install solar panels at home, there are still many other companies that are better with competitive prices, unfortunately for us to be caught up in Momentum Solar's lies, if in a few days this problem is not resolved as a customer and we have already paid, we might contact local news to helping us to solve this problem

So far, so good. Work was done in a timely manner, even prior to set dates. Inspection went well, all was approved. Phone staff and sales representatives were all most helpful. Now it is in process of the next step, which will be the meter swap. Once system is up and running I can hopefully give a better response to how the complete process went.

So far my experience has been great! Sales representative was excellent and the information provided to start the process was easy to understand. The communication with customer service was pleasant and panel installation was a quick process. The placement of panels installed looks just like the blue prints shown which makes the house look modern and sleek. The installer supervisor went over the information before and after install showing respect to my property and provided a clear understanding of the process of the install. He provided pictures from his phone and with a drone for a clear view after the installation. So for my experience with Momentum Solar is been great and exciting. I have an appointment for inspection on Sep 19, 2023 and I'm waiting on the result to turn on the solar panel. So I can submit another update after.
