Reviews often highlight detailed, informative consultations and help comparing materials and glass packages. Many customers mention friendly sales reps and efforts to find options within budget. Positive notes on installation crews and finished appearance are common, though a smaller number of reviews cite measurement or scheduling issues and higher-than-expected bids on whole-home projects.
I was referred by a neighbor and met with Chris Smith for a very informative session on Windows and a front door. Having never done this before, I found that simply trying to research Windows online was virtually impossible, as every company has their own names for the same things. Chris provided us with a very thorough and comprehensive explanation of the different types of materials and glass packages. We also met with 2 other companies and believe that Window Nation has the best value and warranty of the 3.
We haven't had the windows installed yet, but we did meet with Terry to get a quote. He was very knowledgeable and friendly. He worked to find us the best windows that met all of our needs at the best price. Windows weren't in our plan for this year, but our kitchen window broke a seal, and a gross grayish brown haze appeared on the inside of the panes where it can't be cleaned. He was able to get us windows for the front of our house for a price we could afford.
My experience with Window Nation has been so frustrating and disappointing that I feel obligated to warn others. I’m shocked at the number of people that note they went with Window Nation and saved cost - they were one of my highest bids, at over $80k to replace all the windows in my home. The windows were initially mismeasured, which resulted in the wrong size windows being installed. Instead of a smooth, professional installation, the crew, who arrived wearing “Renew by Anderson” shirts, attempted to make them “fit,” and the quality of workmanship showed immediately. The installers actually caulked over dirt and debris rather than properly cleaning and preparing the surfaces. There was no attention to detail. They cut the existing windows out and pushed/kicked them out damaging every single wall in my window inserts. Windows were two small and the installers had to insert sheet metal and caulk around it. Windows were too large, and after they forced the window in, damaging my home, the window wouldn’t shut. After installation, Joe came to inspect the job and noted several “manufacturer defects” as well as the poorly measured windows, so he stated they would reorder all windows and remove and reinstall the existing ones.During the second installation, with a completely different crew, things seemed to go a bit smoother. They spray foamed around windows to fill gaps, which was something the first crew didn’t even do. I was told the foam needed 24 hours to cure, which contradicted what the scheduling office told me, and returned to finish the job the next day. Again, I had a window that was mismeasured (eyebrow/arched window) and they refused to install it without further direction from Joe. I then had to wait for Joe to come out, only to tell me the window is the correct measurement and they’d have to shim it and it would be tight in the top-middle with a gap on either side or the arch. The crew returned to install the final window and it looks awful. There is several inches of caulk on the arch, yet I was assured the window was the correct measurement. To make matters worse, the job site was never properly cleaned up. Debris from the first installation is still sitting on my roof and in my yard months later. Despite multiple attempts to get this resolved, the follow-through has been disappointing. I had my paint company scheduled to come out after my first install only for them to find out the caulk was not fully dried and able to be painted. After the second installation, I had the paint company return to touch-up around the newly replaced windows. This trip/paint cost an additional $700, which Window Nation (reluctantly paid). Upon discussing all of the egregious errors and multiple home visits to fix/repair all the damage caused, and still awaiting some follow/up, Ben noted payment was due because the windows were installed and additionally, he could only credit me an additional $300, after factoring in the paint cost (which was their fault) because $1,000 is the maximum credit the company allows.Overall, this has been a stressful, time-consuming, and costly experience. I expected professionalism and quality craftsmanship, but instead received careless work, damaged materials, and poor cleanup. I would not recommend Window Nation to anyone and would advise consumers avoid them, and their shoddy work, at all and any costs. Based on my experience, I am extremely nervous about the process should I need assistance with any (almost certain) issues that fall under their lifetime warranty.
I contacted Window Nation because I need a single window replaced. I contacted 3 or 4 other window replacement companies also but they wouldn’t do a single window. One company wanted to do 3 or more windows and the others wanted to replace all of them. Nicole came to my home today and did a quick assessment. She explained their fantastic warranty, the time frame needed to make the new window, how the windows are made, who would be contacting me when, the whole nine yards. She was very easy to work with and I really appreciated the fact that she was a woman. Sometimes men can be intimidating and she made the whole process so easy. When my window is placed I will update my review. 5 star so far!!Update 9/25/25William and Carlos installed my new window today. They did a wonderful job! I was expecting some kind of damage to the area surrounding the window but there was none, not even a paint chip. There was absolutely no mess for me to clean up. They did find an area above the old window where there was some kind of gap or air space from the builders (Oakwood) that they filled with a kind of foam to fill in the space and protect the area. Evidently had they not done that it would have created a problem down the road.I could not be happier with Window Nation and will definitely use them again if needed!
Our new bay window is beautiful! The french doors are awesome! The other windows are great too. Elizabeth is great to work with. Oscar and crew are phenomenal with the installation, building, etc. !!!! We would highly recommend using his crew for any projects you have. Thank you Window Nation.
