My husband had two windshields installed from this company. One on his vehicle, and one for my vehicle. No issues with my husband's windshield.Mine, however, from the beginning, there has been an issue. I started hearing a small whistling sound at first when driving , I wasn't sure where it was coming from, so I brought it into a garage and I was informed that it was coming from the windshield. As time has gone on, the whistling sound has become extremely loud, especially when it's windy. I called your office and told the person what the problem was, I was told to drop my vehicle off in the morning, which my husband did every day last week until you were able to get to it. Thursday February 12, my husband went to pick up the vehicle and was told by one of your employees (who either doesn't care, or doesn't have a clue what they are doing) that they pressure checked my windshield and that it is tight, no air pockets, or whatever it is called. That, the reason why I am hearing a whistling sound is because of the weather stripping on my car doors/windows, or it's my sunroof, because it doesn't close correctly. The problem with that is, the "weather stripping, and or sunroof" have never made that sound EVER!!So we buy 2 windshields from you, have an issue with one, and after dropping it off for a week, I'm being told I have no clue what I'm talking about..I told the person at the desk, the whistling sound STARTED after they installed the windshield.I went and bought electrical tape and taped the crap out of my windshield on the outside....ANDGUESS WHAT...DO IT .. GUESS...ABSOLUTELY NO WHISTLING SOUND,That is unacceptable business practice, I will be submitting complaint.

Midcoast Glass can handle any job we've sent they for work on our home. They've replaced broken or failed insulated glass on several windows, and just recently upgraded the glazing (only) on 4 more with Low-E glass. The casement sash, in good condition otherwise, looks great. Even though this involves taking our sashes to their shop (and covering windows temporarily), it's a great alternative to the great expense, tearout and/or mess of new windows or replacements. We'll be back to do failed roof windows later.
After struggling with a couple other local companies who never even called us back, Midcoast came through with a good quote and installed on schedule and neatly. Thank you!
