Disappointing experience. For our home renovation project in Shelburne we reached out to Pella about an all-windows replacement and received a quote. That process was fine, but because of some sticker shock we asked friendly follow-up questions in an email about alternative product lines and other potential ways to shave some of the cost. Those questions were ignored, as was a follow-up asking whether they were still interested in working with us. Even a short note saying that they could not change the quote or were no longer interested in the project would have been better than being ghosted. Lousy communication from the get go speaks poorly for their overall service orientation and we cannot recommend this Pella dealer.
Had a crew of 3 replace 9 windows, two were double windows in one frame. Courteous, professional, clean, quick, respectful, diligent, and reactive. Noticed the kitchen window sill was an issue, and they willingly redesigned on the spot to make it work. Such an amazing experience from sales but most certainly the absolute BEST experience with the installation crew. All in house, not subcontracted out. Amazing crew of young, hardworking professionals.
After quotes from Anderson and two local installers we have no regrets after going with Pella. I had no pressure around signing, no sales gimmicks, no stress. Our salesperson Ben K was responsive and addressed all questions and made multiple home visits, as was he available via email/text. We went with the Impervia line as we wanted fiberglass windows for all the reasons you can read elsewhere. We replaced all 14 openings with sliders, a mix of standard sizes and custom. Some openings larger than. >50”x 100” required factory mullions and these are seamless.We elected to finish our interior trim as to match the existing throughout the home. Pella was able to coordinate this delivery prior to installation allowing for stain and finish. The installers were some of the cleanest I’ve encountered. Their installation was meticulous, they cleaned up after themselves and left no trace. One minor issue was addressed early on (flashing and metal trim to match house aesthetic and our expectations). The install crew adapted met our expectation.We converted from 1990s wood Anderson casements to Pella fiberglass sliders and so this first winter will be the real test.
I had the opportunity to work with Evan and his installation team over the summer for a recent remodel. The new windows and replacement sliding door were high quality and the installation was timely and professional. I look forward to future projects with Evan and the team at Pella.
Deciding which brand of windows to use is not always a easy decision. Our rep. Calvin, made the decision easy for us. He was very professional, and knowledgeable. He listened to what we wanted, and made it happen. He gave us all of the options, and gave some suggestions that we are happy we went with.Knowing that we would be installing all of our windows ourselves, Calvin provided us with all of the information we would need to have an easy install. I would highly recommend pella windows, and calvin as a rep. Thank you for making our dream home, become a reality.
