---Update December 2025---

Well - more nonsense. After finally getting in touch with someone in September they told me the replacement windows were never ordered like they were supposed to be. So they put them in and we just had to wait longer. Finally we had the install scheduled for 12/19. Sure enough - the installers came and they didn't have the right windows!

1. they only add the top half dome part - the installers had no idea of the situation and so I had to explain. They realized the entire set (half dome on top and the two rectangular windows) on both large front windows needed to be replaced and they couldn't do the install. I was told from the beginning the entire set was going to be replaced so when they showed up with only part of the set I knew something was wrong.

2. Second, even the half dome windows weren't correct - the grid pattern wasn't even the same style we had ordered - and the color was wrong! So even if they had the entire set, it wasn't even correct!

3. The installer was nice enough and said he'd call back by the end of the day - sure enough he didn't. So I had to call myself, wait on hold, only to be sent to voicemail. I am calling during their open hours too. Of course, nobody has called me back yet.

Bottom line - no one at Apex is taking ownership of this situation and paying the slightest attention to detail to this. I have lost all trust and am going to have to call every day until I get issued a refund for the windows in question. There is no way I am waiting another three months, just to have the wrong windows come again.

------Summer 2025-----
I don’t often write reviews, but I feel it’s important to share my experience so others can make an informed decision.

Our project with Apex started off well. The sales process was clear, and everything moved forward smoothly until the installation stage.

On installation day, three issues were apparent:
1. Two large windows had mismatched top and bottom frame colors (1st picture)
2. The grid patterns between the top and bottom sections did not align, as we agreed to in the contract. (also 1st picture)
3. The drainage caps were mismatched in color and appeared to be installed randomly (2nd picture).

To Apex’s credit, the installers pointed out these problems themselves and assured me they would order replacements and return in about three months to correct them. Since our old windows had already been removed, we proceeded with installation of the incorrect ones in the meantime. The caulking and finish work were done quickly and not to a high standard (3rd picture), which they explained was because the windows were temporary.

Unfortunately, that was four months ago. Since then, I’ve made repeated attempts to get a status update—by phone, email, and text to their customer service line (which goes straight to voicemail), my salesperson, and even the regional manager. While I sometimes receive brief replies such as “I’ll look into it,” there has been no concrete follow-up or timeline provided.

This has left us with two large, prominent front windows that look unfinished and poorly installed. These were part of a $40,000 full-home project, and I had hoped the issues would be resolved in good faith. Not to mention they left some of their installation supplies in my garage saying they would use them when they returned -- effectively using my garage to store their own stuff. Unfortunately, the lack of communication and follow-through has been deeply disappointing. Payment was already due, so I seem to have no recourse but to write this review and perhaps keep leaving voicemails. I would encourage potential customers to consider this experience when making their decision.

In summary, this is the worst customer service I have ever experienced with a home improvement contractor.

Window contract signed in April 2024, little to no communication after that unless I called, finally schedule install for November 2024 and every single window was measured incorrectly and the replacements could not be installed (they still billed the finance company for the full amount even though nothing was provided), install in December of 2024 with the exception of a specialty window for my kitchen. Was told it would be in approx. 2 weeks, that was 10 months ago!!

Several emails and calls to the management team with no resolution, the specialty window was supposedly made 3 different times, 2 that would not fit and 1 that they shattered while loading the truck, that was at least 3 months ago.

The sales guy that I dealt with was Blaine and I believe he honestly did all he could do, now he has left the company, good for him and bad for me. I have left several messages for John S (regional mgr) with zero response, not even the decency to tell me he doesn't have an answer. I have also filed a complaint with the BBB and no response has been given back to the BBB. If I could rate this company a zero, I would!!

Next step will be a small claims action as they have not supplied or completed a contracted job and in my opinion are in breach of the agreement.

You have better options in the Columbus area for window replacement, choose more wisely than I did!!

In January 2025, I contacted Apex Energy Solutions sales representative Derek Brown regarding a cracked window that was under warranty. At that time, I was informed the replacement would take approximately 4–6 weeks to arrive. After the initial 6-week period passed, I reached out to inquire about the installation date. Over the following four months, I made numerous phone calls to both the salesperson and the company, only to be repeatedly told that the window would be replaced “soon.” Despite multiple assurances, no specific dates were provided. After escalating the issue to a manager, I received an apology and was given a firm installation date of June 16, 2025. Unfortunately, since that date, I have been unable to get any response from Apex Energy Solutions. I have left repeated voicemails for both the salesperson and the manager, and have also attempted to contact the company through their main line, with no one answering or returning my calls. This delay has now gone on for over 9 months, with no action taken to resolve the warranty issue. I believe this may constitute a pattern of negligent or deceptive business practices.

We had a great experience. Matt was super knowledgeable and answered all of our questions. The install crew was professional and cleaned up before they left. We would recommend this company as it was an easy, clear plan from start to finish.

Had a fantastic experience with Apex! Cymande, our sales consultant, was knowledgeable and professional. He even came by after the install to check in, which is great customer service! Brian and his install team were quick, clean, and did a top-notch job. We replaced old aluminum-frame windows with broken seals, and the new triple-pane windows are amazing. Huge reduction in road noise (we live next to Roberts Rd), and we noticed right away that our A/C is holding better, especially helpful in this July heat. Highly recommend Apex to anyone needing new windows!
