Apologies if this posts twice. I am looking at replacing my windows. I am so impressed with the Pella professional that came out to give a quote that I want to give a shoutout on my experience with him and the quoting process.Alex Wagner was who came to my house for the quote. He impressed me by his professionalism, respect, and knowledge. He respected my time and spoke with great courtesy. He never bashed another competitor. He talked about Pella’s product and history. He explained things I needed education on to help me understand my options fully. He gave me ample opportunity to ask questions. He also talked to me about financing options.I highly recommend him. He is the type of person I wish I encountered more in sales related experiences.Pella looks to have a very good product and is competitively priced.
I worked with Alex on a project to replace multiple windows of a commercial building located in a Durham historic district. The city was very specific about the type and material of window that would be appropriate. Alex provided me with renderings and some detail that I included in my planning application to the city. Once planning approval was secured, the measuring, ordering and installation process was flawless. All of my communication with Pella, from Alex to the project coordinator was smooth. The installation crew paid attention to detail and completed the job efficiently and followed my instructions. I recommend Pella, their product is of good quality and they have a capable team that worked to ensure I was satisfied with my purchase.
Terrible installation, awful experience. We paid extra for so called “sound control package” and full frame for the argon bedroom window.First thing they did was installing a cracked window (no argon left inside obviously) and reusing old materials for the frame, and the team tried to leave hoping we didn’t notice. The sales person demanded the rest of the payment without scheduling a replacement. Took 2 weeks and a personal visit to schedule it and another month to get it done.I did not notice much of the sound improvement, and now I can hear wind whistling through either my new window or the frame they mocked together from the old planks and lots of silicone. The case about the frame was dropped on Pella’s side btw.I feel like we got scammed of thousands of dollars to get a window worse than the 30 years old around the house! Attaching the photo of the cracked window installed initially, an amazing silicone frame and the video of the window whistling.Update:We were contacted by Pella after this review. Their person came and found out that besides the issues I described, we had a cracked insert frame and a malfunctioning latch. They promised someone would contact us about the repairs. The only attempt of contacting us since was them sending some table showing that our cashier check was “returned” in June (mind it’s January) - we never get those money back. Now we have to invest even more time into figuring out what happened and who took the money leaving us with a broken Pella window.
From the very first meeting the process for transforming a screen porch to a sun room was almost flawless. Chris the sales rep quickly gave us a great option. No high pressure sales - just quick to what we could install, price, and financing options. The timeline was on track for delivery and Jimmy the installer is great. In addition Jimmy’s work is flawless. The room exceeded are expectations! We would definitely use Pella again for any future projects.
Alex out of Pellas Durham office was an absolute pleasure to work with and was extremely thorough. our windows were just installed and completely changed the appearance of our house both inside and out. we couldn't beore pleased and highly recommend working with Alex and the Durham team.
