Although I chose not to take on the project now, I am extremely pleased with the service that I received today. Jonathan knew his products and was able to explain in a way that even my wife could understand (sorry pookie)! Reality is things just ain't as cheap as they once were, but it's nice to know that there's still good people out there treating folks with dignity and respect. To home pro: thank you for sending someone that wasn't pushy and took his time and cared. Will definitely recommend him and you guys. Great looking siding and window work by the way ??
Jonathan was extremely thorough when coming to my house. He made sure to explain everything well, I trusted him naturally, and he made me extremely comfortable. Which, made it easy to go with them to turn my windows in dining room into a beautiful patio door. I'm thrilled to enjoy it this summer. Jonathan is a great representation of your company, Sir. This is just one number I have been called from. This is rediculous if u ask me. I have 3 numbers in total. However, the grand kicker of these phone calls is for a free quote. This company also refuses certain home style and refuse to even coat a roof for a veteran household. They still have made phone calls from 3 numbers. Sometimes is two numbers within 5 minutes of each other. Yet, they refuse service due to you your home. I'm sorry it's not a house that was 80k+ value that could go up for your advertisements and the roof doesn't have a high enough point. However, its a home with people inside it. Seems like you just wanna go with those who work hard and follow. Yet, everyone has or is working hard for what they got. Just here's a loan for maintenence is rediculous while assembly liners work for $30/hours that was $15/hr just 10 years ago. This is what you displayed to those who are looking for a good sound company. I appreciate the multiple numbers and phone calls that basically tell a household you aren't worthy but we will continuously call you...after we told you NO.
We contracted Home Pro for a siding project that includes new soffit, fascia, and gutters. The sales rep that came out was good, told us how the company was family owned and managed, had their own crews with a job supervisor, had a camera monitoring system that would be on site thru the project, all good things. I specifically asked about who would be doing the work and it was Home Pro crews for the siding and a subcontractor for the gutters. Cool, no worries. Signed a contract that was high IMO but the sales pitch of using their own crews and a camera on site had me sold. Picked siding colors from a sample and the salesman showed us a ton of pictures of the siding color online before they ordered. Misty shadow, a darker gray color on the small sample and the online pictures.Siding came in and was contacted for them to start a few days later, great. A dumpster was placed the next day and the crew was coming a couple days later. Crew showed up was from some other company and NOT employees of Home Pro and they had no details about what they were doing except here with siding. Crew was nice but only one spoke English so communication was difficult. We went over what our contract said a few times throughout the job as they kept missing items and asking "if they were doing that too". Ok, you are a sub and don't have all the details, that's fine because I took the time off work and here to keep track of things.Siding showed up and it was the color per the name, but not the color that we picked from all the pictures we were shown from the salesman. Dark brown and not dark gray. Called and was told they would look at it but "it's what you ordered".Siding went up and crew did an ok job. Missed all the vents on the side and completely covered one. Trim is not level or square in places. Not the worst job, not the best. Had to fix plenty of places where fascia wasn't attached, gaps not caulked, items just left half assed.Overall, Home Pro just contracted everyone out and took a nice profit for just knowing who to call. None of the things I was told up front happened. No direct crew, no camera, no whatever. The crews that came out did fine, you could tell the few guys that did a great job and a few just didn't. Several things surprised me in both good and bad ways.I put up the white corners and stone before they came out reducing their contracted work items. Glad I did because the items I put up are level and square.I cannot recommend this company based on this experience.
I'll start with the sales rep. As I'm a firm believer that a person who represents the company is how the company is. We had Jerry fox. Fort Wayne, in area. Nice guy. Does the presentation of the product to get you interested before the quote. Said they have their own fleet of trucks, family ran and they use a 360 camera to monitor the build. None what was spoken was true. They third party everything. Okay, be honest. No need to lie. I don't care how the roof is done but honesty goes a lot further than lies.Communication for setting an appointment up and everything was 1/5 stars at its best. Missed the call. They sent a text. I replied with my availability to what they were asking. Never heard from them on if it was a go for that day or what time they will arrive. Nothing. Lousy Communication.The third party service who installed the roof were nothing but the best. I'm glad they don't represent this company as they are independent contractors. Guys had professionalism and were great men to have work on my house. I believe they did a great job. Though they had exposed osb board and covered it with a different liner when it should have been covered with the blue one first.Overall, being a deceitful liar to make a sale is a turn off. It represents how the company is as a whole and is not a true meaning of family owned. Where is the pride at if your sales team is scummy? Guess paying for all the overhead is all this company cares about.I'd look elsewhere for cheaper. Thanks for reading this honest review.
