Reviews describe a mix of experiences. Many customers note courteous crews, punctual arrivals, and clean job sites on window and door installations. Critical feedback centers on installs done through big-box partnerships, citing fit and water-intrusion issues and difficulty getting follow-up resolution. Overall sentiment points to strong individual crews on some projects and inconsistency on others.
I could not be more satisfied and happy with WindowFits and the professional installation of my new vinyl replacement windows. The entire experience/process from the Sales representative to the quality installation was seamless. Kudos to Ryan and Omar, the installers, who did a great and quality job with installation and cleanup. They were sensitive and courteous and provided great customer service as they navigated in, out and around my house and yard. The finished product is beautiful.
Wish 0 stars was an option. Ordered a replacement sliding glass door from Lowe’s, who contracted this company to measure, then install the door. At no time was it explained during the order process that the old door would be used as the base for the new door. They used the existing metal door frame and just ground down parts of the track they didn’t want leaving other parts in some areas. Then stuck the replacement door in, which was smaller so they had to add shims to the structure. A completely unacceptable replacement based on my understanding of what was to be delivered. When I asked the installer why they didn’t remove the existing metal door frame I was told it was against the law in California to do so. I asked what the code section was he could not provide it. So I did a Google Search and it turns up there is no such law. So the installer lied, not really shocked by this. He probably figured I would just think it makes sense and move on.I’m not happy with being lied to. I’m not happy with the replacement door. I’m not happy with the installation or the installer.I would not recommend Lowe’s or WindowFits. I have had both new construction and upgrades done to multiple building through the years and just cannot phantom having employees lie to customers because you don’t want to do the job correctly! It’s very disappointing.
We purchased a sliding glass door from Lowes (our first mistake) and this is the company that was contracted to remove the old door and install the new one. After installation, on the first rain, we noticed staining on the trim, from water damage. We immediately contacted Lowes and WindowFits came soon after to "correct" the issue and replace all of the trim again. We went through a period of minimal rain and then on the next rain, we noticed the same issue of water damage to the trim (staining inside and exterior trim bubbling and falling apart). After 2 incorrect installations, we called a different local company with great reviews who came in and informed us that (obviously) nothing was done correctly. Due to the water damage and cracked stucco from the door installation (they cut the stucco but did not repair it, they just added some type of sealing compound that did not work), we had to have extensive stucco work done around the the door as well, which was not cheap. See the pictures for the water damage.
Tony did a fabulous job installing a glass door with invisible sliding screen for the front of my home. I am a perfectionist; Tony and his partner did a PERFECT job! He picked up my door and arrived at my home on time. I highly recommend Tony for any installation, he is a true professional, very friendly and polite!
Window Fits were contracted by Lowe's to install four pair of French doors to replace doors where the dual pane glass had fogged.Judging by the job they did, I don't think they had ever installed doors before. The list of problems is much too long to relate here. Some lowlites are: they made no effort to protect wrought iron railings when breaking away stucco. Many nails were left projecting through the door jamb. The stucco molding was installed in a position in many cases that did not leave clearance for the hinges. The door jambs were twisted causing some doors to hit the jamb before fully closing. The interior molding was cut too short leaving a gap at the carpet surfaces. Large amount of caulking was used to hide poor workmanship. I found pieces of the original door moldings that had just been thrown into our backyard. It has taken me a lot of work to fix these doors. They may know windows, but they were incompetent with my doors.
