This was the BEST experience yet with a window and door company. I needed 4 windows replaced due to age and leaks in the window seals. I called 2 different companies as I had mediocre experience with 2 of the other window companies. Florida Window and Door Solutions won my business. Their estimate person was on time, my questions about material and installation were fully answered and the start date was within a few weeks. The installers Alex and Chris arrived and did a walk through before starting. Throughout the removal of the old windows and the install of the new windows both kept the work area clean and safe. The new windows look fantastic. And guess what? Their work PASSED the Seminole County inspection!! Give this company a chance to win your business
Ordered a “custom” door that was delivered from manufacturing with glass portions that were not positioned correctly. Contacted FWDS and sent them a picture of the door. They responded quickly to say that was not acceptable and were submitting a claim to replace the door.Brandon come today and custom cut the door on site. He verified every step was what we wanted, measured, cut and finished the door in a couple hours and now it looks like the photos in the catalog.Was not real happy with the initial door but the service and replacement was fantastic, special thanks to Brandon for getting this done.
A FLORIDA HOMEOWNER'S GRATEFUL MOMENTWe had our windows and doors replaced this week. It was time. The original windows (circa 2004) couldn't be reliably opened without Herculean effort; cool breezes through the door and window seals defied my best efforts to mitigate the gaps; and putting up plywood on the occasion of the next Cat 3 or better hurricane is a *much* younger man's game.We couldn't ignore the sense of responsibility to address the fire hazard, energy costs, and the increasing jeopardy associated with Florida weather.We went with Low E glass and specs that boasted the strongest storm protection available nationwide. In addition to the math working in our favor with energy savings and insurance credits, it was the most satisfying experience imaginable. Here's why...The product exploration process featured options and I felt educated—not conned—by Arwen Carlin’s presentation. A dedicated HOA department navigated city permits and HOA Review Board like everyone was on the same team. Scheduling was patient and flexible to our holiday season chaos. The installation team's professionalism and (near) over-communication made an immediate impression. I was grateful for their work within hours. So much so, I ended up buying them lunch each day (not an expectation), and I got to know a Brother in Freemasonry in the process.The icing on our cake had two layers: (1) as they removed the stickers from each window, they stuck them on the back pages of our project materials with advice to have these handy when applying for the utility company rebates and insurance credits; and (2) I could hear the City Building Inspector compliment their quality during his visit. Apparently, the hurricane-grade products that we selected required some extra installation wizardry. I had Merlin, Gandalf, Dumbledore, and El Curandero in my house working as a team.There you have it. I found myself living in my own Harvard Business Case for teaching how to deliver on a brand promise. It deserved returning the good vibes back to the Universe that sent it.
