Reviews highlight strong communication, punctual crews, and clean job sites. Many homeowners in older St. Paul and Minneapolis houses report quality craftsmanship on glass block, hopper, and slider replacements. Pricing is often described as fair compared with big-box options and other bids. A small number of reviews mention trim consistency concerns that were later addressed.

Extremely happy with Tom and his crew! Clear communication and work was completed in one day. Replaced 5 original (leaky) wood hopper basement windows and exterior wells in my 1938 built house.

We could not be happier with our experience with Basement Window Guy! We live in the Summit Hill neighborhood of Saint Paul, and our 100-year-old basement windows were well past due for replacement. From start to finish, the professionalism, skill, and communication were absolutely top-notch.

The new glass block windows are stunning—solid, high quality, and installed with a level of craftsmanship you just don’t see every day. The mortar work alone looks like art: perfectly smooth, with beveled edges that give a clean, finished look. The same goes for the caulking—neat, precise, and clearly done with incredible attention to detail.

Beyond the excellent workmanship, the entire process was smooth and stress-free. Pricing was fair and transparent, and the value we received for the quality of work was outstanding.

If you want a contractor who takes true pride in their work and delivers beautiful results, look no further than Basement Window Guy. We highly recommend him and would give more than five stars if we could!

Basement Window Guys replaced my broken down small basement windows that were original to the house, about 50 years old. I now have three slider windows that look great and work well! The workmanship was excellent and they cleaned up the areas when they finished. I highly recommend them. ALSO: far less costly than a local Big Box store, as well as two different contractors who also offered me bids.

We had 3 windows put in. Two hoppers and one glass block. Tom did a great job both in installation and clean up! Something you don’t always get nowadays. Would highly recommend.

Jen Blake on Basement Window Guy

Had all basement windows replaced in summer 2020. I was initially not impressed with the install of my windows. They had a significant amount of trim around the edges, with little to no consistency across the windows. After expressing this, they offered to come and redo them at no additional charge. They look nice now and I’m pleased with the outcome. The business has switched ownership, so note that previous reviews and website reflect work of the previous owner.
