Since I live close by, he offered to immediately go with me to my home. He assessed the work to be done and had Lance on it that afternoon. The work was performed quickly and very professionally. Kudos to Greg and Lance for their focus on customer service, timely follow-up and excellent work.

From the get go, Greg was extremely helpful at explaining what needed to be fixed and what we were dealing with, and the work was done at a very reasonable price. We plan to have him come back to replace our shutters down the road. You will not meet a nicer, more passionate owner or skilled group of artisans. I highly recommend them.

My husband and I own a historic home in Winston Salem. When we purchase our home all of the windows were painted shut. We searched high and low for someone that could help us restore our windows. Everyone kept telling us that we should just replace the windows with new "more energy-efficient" windows. From personal experience, I knew that new windows were not a good solution as they tend to fail after ten to fifteen years - even the top of the line windows that we purchased. Also, new windows just don't look right in historic homes. We were delighted to meet Greg from Salem Heritage. Greg is PASSIONATE about historic homes. He knows what it takes to do a first-class restoration so that the original features of your home will look as good as new and function as intended. Greg's team restored several porches for us that involved: * stripping multiple columns down to the bare wood and repainting * stripping a beautiful and very detailed arch window over our front door and repainting * building a new glass door to replace a broken screen door (it's a work of art!) * stripping, restoring and painting our massive front door with beautiful, glossy European paints * restoring damaged woodwork, sealing and painting We LOVE the work that Greg's team has done for us so far and will begin phase three in the spring. If you own a historic home, you need to call Salem Heritage ASAP! They will restore your house to its original beauty and add to your property value at the same time. Win-win!
