Reviews often highlight strong design support and clear communication from initial consultation through construction. Customers mention quality craftsmanship on paver patios, retaining walls, and outdoor living features. Several note responsive project managers and willingness to resolve issues after completion. A smaller number of mixed reviews reference delays or follow-up needs, with updates indicating the company reached out to address concerns.

Adam, Greg, Cassie and crew... thank you all very much for the final result of our massive project. The new retaining wall and railing are BEAUTIFUL and very well built. Thank you for working with us on this project and making sure we are happy with the final result. Thank you Eric for working with us to figure out how to make the best outcome with this process.

Vulcan does beautiful work, they work very hard and most importantly they care about making sure their customers are happy with the finished product.

Thank you for everything, I would recommend your company and would use your services again.

Update: Jamie reached out and he has offered to help with trying to make a difference in my lasting impression of his company and team. He is definitely trying to make things better. He values his company and the work they do.
Update #2
Jamie scheduled the inspection for me. It’s been a year since the project finished. That gave my husband and I time to recreate the pathway which covers the dirt to prevent erosion. So our inspection passed! Jamie has offered to submit the permit for phase two. He has been very helpful and assures me that his current crew is top notch. I have to say it’s been nice to start this relationship with a company.
Update #3
Jamie might use his talents and resources to help out with a very important nonprofit organization. He has offered to find supplies and donate labor! We meet in a few days to work out the details!

Terrible work, terrible communication. So many mistakes were made in the design and build. They built the wrong size deck. It’s smaller than planned and paid for, but they wouldn’t adjust the price. They had to rebuild the stairs and resurface the deck more than once after many asks to fix. The work each day wasn’t supervised and my husband and I felt like the project managers and traffic control because they kept blocking the street and driveways and/or parking under a no parking sign. We signed the contract in May but the project started after the rainy season started which led to our yard turning into a muddy mess. They said they could put plywood down but it was too late. The fountain ended up getting filled with mud, pallet of concrete bags left out in the rain uncovered, raw materials dropped all over. My dog could no longer safely exercise in the back yard which led to other issues. So stressful. The permit is still open more than a year later and the company ignores communication from the city. They left so many things unfinished. You will see in one picture that the downspout was disconnected for days which poured water directly into the crawlspace and triggered the sump pump that was never needed before. Impossible to sleep through the noise it made.

Our backyard was a mud pit after our two big dogs destroyed the grass. (See before pics)We had Matt come over and walk through our vision of what we wanted and give us an estimate. He gave us a booklet of material and pattern options to review but the best thing they have is a demonstration area at their office! You can go down there and see an example section of the stones and colors and actualy touch them and see how they weather. We changed our minds after seeing how the stones we originally chose, weathered outside. I love what we picked and everything went together really well. Ken our project manager was knowledgeable and quickly helped us realize we needed to add drainage to our project. This of course upped the price, but we are really glad we did it. We have seen some downpours and the drainage has worked beautifully! As the project progressed we realized several things we hadnt thought of and i think we had 4 or 5 change orders including running a waterline to the back of the yard going underneith the paver patio. Vulcan was incredibly understanding every time we changed something (sorry Ken, I know that was a pain in the ass)! We chose pavers over concrete because the pavers had a good warranty and concrete is hard to keep from cracking due to the constant rain, so it only has a 2 year warranty. We opted for a round edge on our capstone so people can sit on the retaining wall comfortably, giving us built in seating for gatherings. Petrucios teams that came out to the house every day was amazing and always polite. They did really good work and even redid a section of the stairs because we wanted it to be a bit wider after we saw it finished. We were really grateful and our project came out AMAZING! Also Ken and the crew always loved our dogs, which goes along way in our book! We absolutely love how everything looks and we no longer have muddy dogs coming in and out of the house! Thank you Vulcan and crew for helping us turn our backyard into a welcoming space for years to come.

Great company with excellent professionalism and service.

Stu (designer) was the first representative we met and he was amazing. We met with other designers prior to him and we did not feel as connected to them as we did with Stu. He has a lot of patience and bends over backwards to make sure clients feel heard. He helped us with our backyard redesign and the results were amazing.

Tyler (project manager) was fantastic. He's very responsive and consistently monitored the project from beginning to end. He was extremely knowledgeable about all the different things that were going to be involved with the project. If we had any issues, he was readily available to present solutions and options.

We were very impressed with the Vulcan team and have been referring folks looking for landscaping remodels to seriously consider that team. You get what you pay for and they are definitely worth it.

I wanted to enjoy my outdoor space throughout the year, so invited Vulcan Design and Construction to give me an estimate on a permanent patio cover. Stuart gave an excellent presentation, explaining all concepts and options very clearly. He spent over an hour showing me options and explaining terms/processes I had no experience with. (By contrast, another company gave me a 15-minute “presentation,” but nothing as complete as Vulcan.) I’ve never had such a friendly sales rep before and because he went above and beyond, I was excited to work with Vulcan. The team was courteous, professional, and timely throughout the process. There was only one small problem (irrigation pipe cracked), but they fixed it completely before finishing the cover. Communication with the team and office was easy and effortless. I’d highly recommend Stuart and the rest of the team!
