The stair runner is installed!! McCalls Carpet One Floor & Home is the company we used and I'm so impressed by the whole process! It only took three weeks from the time I ordered the carpet for it to be cut, bound, and installed. Eric was the guy in sales who was so helpful! They also went the extra mile by removing the trim piece on each stair to give the carpet a tightly tucked-in look around the lip of each step, and then cut the trim pieces to be a perfect fit for the new space. The other company that quoted me wouldn’t even do this! No more slipping for our dog as she runs down the stairs or us worrying about grandparents tripping on their way down!
If I could give this place zero stars, I would. In May 2020, I bought a mattress from this DT McCall’s location in Franklin. Fred was the sales person I bought the mattress from. All was great, until a year or so later, I went to get out of bed and felt a piece of metal scratch the back of my leg. When I looked, not only was there a piece of metal sticking out of the side of the mattress, there were multiple holes that had formed on the same side. My mom and I both took turns calling this store to get answers to the problem. Fred kept promising us he would provide a replacement for the mattress, but never bothered to call back like he told us, and every time we called, it was always a different story. “We need pics emailed of the mattress”, “So and so from this department has to arrange the repair and/or replacement” etc. Despite sending emails containing the pics of the mattress, nothing was ever done. The least they could have done from the beginning was tell us they do not offer refunds or replacements, rather than waste our time. And before someone comments saying we have the wrong store, here’s a screenshot of the phone number I called the last time I spoke with Fred. They should be ashamed of themselves for how they handle business. I’ll never buy from this place again, and I highly recommend anyone reading this review to take your money elsewhere.
I always try to buy from small, local businesses as long as they are price competitive and good people. Purchased our washer, dryer and refrigerator from them. Great selection, knowledgeable and delivery experience was perfect. Highly recommend them!
I sought out McCalls to avoid a big box store but it won't be my first (second, or third) call next time. I was shopping for an LG washer and dryer. Joe Tomlinson was an excellent sales rep. He quickly showed me what they had on the floor that was comparable to what I wanted and completed a special order for what I eventually went with.The washer and dryer took about 6 weeks to arrive but Joe was great at communicating these changes and making sure I got on the delivery schedule ASAP.Here's where things took a turn. The delivery went smoothly, or so I thought. After the delivery guys left and I removed the stickers from the washer, I realized they delivered the wrong washer and had scratched my newly laid floors.Joe T. referred me to Joe Vance, delivery supervisor, to talk about getting the right washer delivered and the scratch on the floor fixed. Joe Vance was an absolute nightmare to deal with. He was rude, gruff, and short. The correct washer was delivered the next day with no heads up they'd be coming. Thankfully I was home.I had to fight to get the scratch repair covered. Joe V. said "well the delivery was free", like I should have just been happy with what happened.If everyone had provided the same level of service Joe T. did, I'd be back but Joe V. has absolutely ruined this experience for me and I won't be back. It's a shame because I prefer to support my local small businesses.In response to the store reply - I came, in person, and ordered my washer and dryer from this very location. I don't have the wrong store.
Best flooring experience in my life. Exceptional service from the first phone call to the carpet install on 5/5/22. Best of all I was able to get the "Green Select" product I was looking for. It's made in North America with corn grown in Georgia. Pretty cool. It's also more durable than many other types. I purchased Innovia touch/ Xtreme clean. I also love supporting my local retailers. Excellent eco friendly pad was available as well. Both were very reasonably priced.
