R&S Flooring (Brentwood) recently installed hardwood flooring and decorative floor air vents. They did an outstanding job and we would highly recommend them. Clayton (Project Mgr) was outstanding. They did an outstanding job, matching the color of the new hardwood floors to the old floors. We love the decorative floor vents that Clayton recommended and installed. We will definitely use R&S Flooring for all of our flooring needs going forward.
We are so glad we found R & S Flooring! After so many bad experiences with other companies who provide home services, we were terrified to have our floors replaced. After lots of research, we decided to try R & S. Clayton was absolutely wonderful to work with BOTH times! A year and a half ago, we decided to start small, just in case, and had R & S replace our carpet in the primary bedroom and hall with engineered hardwood and had a great experience and have absolutely loved the floor so much that we just had them return and do the same in the great room, dining room and kitchen. Again, they did a beautiful job! Clayton and the crew did what they said they would do when they said they would do it--easy-peasy!!! Our home absolutely glows, and pictures don't do the floors justice for sure, but I am posting a few anyway, including one of our favorite features--the flush-mount, integrated register covers that are absolutely GORGEOUS! No more are we catching toes and chairs on ugly register covers! We can hardly wait to have the rest of the flooring replaced in our home! Of course, we will be calling Clayton at R &S!
We started a project with R&S flooring back in June redoing the entire flooring in our house in Dickson, TN. Today, September 19 we are suppose to complete the project after many issues throughout the project all which R&S flooring are at fault and are absolutely unreasonable on the nightmare they have caused our family, and as it has consistently been proven through the last few months the project will still remain unfinished. The crew we had laying the flooring poured concrete to make the living room area even to lay the flooring but only poured the concrete in small areas which caused major dips and soft spots once the flooring was down, although in our contract we agreed and REQUESTED if subflooring needed to be replaced we would be at cost of replacing the subflooring- they never communicated this was the best route to take and instead we went through having to buy more material as the main flooring person was very disappointed our room was completed the way it was- they ripped the flooring up and poured more concrete and laid a second round of flooring. They destroyed our baseboard which on our final walk through it was agreed this was excessive and unnecessary causing us more work needing to be completed. They did agree to ‘touch the baseboards up’ but other materials they used were not our vision and when the baseboards were to be painted we were told they would paint the other materials to match. Today, on the final day at no fault of the painter we were told he would not be doing anything but baseboard touch up. Alexis is very unprofessional and unreasonable she was very quick to blame the multiple mistakes on default flooring and communicated the baseboard damage was necessary for the project- also, communicating they fired our project manager who in our opinion had our best interest (how is that for family owned and operated?). She did offer the painter could return yet another day to do WHAT WAS PROMISED that she states wasn’t communicated but our family has had enough- we have been more then accommodating and we truly have experienced a nightmare. I will also add they left our stairs undone for a long time stating they didn’t have enough material when they did the measurements for the material and additional material was purchased before the project began- even though to this date the project isn’t completed they charged us for the project months ago. We were willing to let it go since accommodations were communicated but once more things didn’t get addressed we did raise awareness it is dishonest to be charged for a completed project when it was far from completion. I would just advise anyone to think twice before using this ‘family owned company.’ I also can provide anyone the communication we have had with Alexis because she truly is far from understanding and I know she wouldn’t appreciate the havoc and unprofessional work we were given but she is very comfortable will standing by the work that has been done.***I notice the reply and want to note a refund was never requested. We wanted to share our experience to help others who might find themselves trapped as this project was a true mistake. I took off an entire week from my job to allow this project to be completed. You did not stick to the timeline because of novice workers on your end who chose to not do the project correct the first time. We were more the accommodating of all the extra stress you added on our family. We are more than happy to pay but the overall project was a big mistake and our review is very honest and sincere.***Wanting to once again alert anyone using this company we found yet another unfinished part of the project from this company. Additional picture added of our unfinished stairs.
I can’t say enough good things about R&S! I used them to install engineered hardwood on my entire second floor and together we redesigned my staircase. We couldn’t be happier with quality of materials and the entire team at R&S! Clayton was wonderful! He was happy to answer any and every question right away. He checked on the crew daily and checked in with me to make sure I was happy with how the work was coming along. The ladies in the office were super helping me decide colors and scheduling the jobs. Junior and his team were amazing with the installation of the floors and staining of the staircase. Robert, truly a fine craftsman rebuilt the entire staircase. Everyone was friendly, professional and sweet to my crazy dog. I would not hesitate to recommend R&S flooring.
Ray was very easy to work with; great communication and always on time. We knew exactly what to expect throughout the whole process and everyone was very professional and nice. They worked with our schedule and we are so happy with our new floors. They look amazing!
