We purchased an old farmhouse that was in need of TLC, floors included. Albert Griffith and Sons sanded and refinished my (some oak and some pine) floors. They did an incredible job. The floors are so pretty now that I don't want to put furniture on them. I just want to admire them.
Long story short: did part of the job right after 2 attempts, the rest did not finish prior to firing.We hired them with the intent of refinishing our main level floors. They have achieved 2 stars mainly due to the difficulty associated with the species of wood (pine, ash, and poplar). However, their application of stain, attention to detail, and overall lack of quality was continuously shown in their 3 attempts to get our floor right.They also achieved a second star because they were committed to getting it right, but in their attempts to do so their quality became less and less to the point where we had to fire them. The owner and the employees did not communicate. The employees did not care about their work. The overall lack of skill while touting decades of experience.Use this company with extreme risk. They may be able to do a simple white oak floor, but for anything else, seek someone else.
We are so pleased with the work that Albert Griffith& Sons just completed for us. We have hard wood floors in our kitchen and sunroom area. They sanded the floors, stained with a color different from the original and finished with 3 coats of polyurethane. The finished product is beautiful and looks like brand new hardwood. The guys were great, always here on time and Amanda called from the office daily with updates as to when the guys would arrive.We would highly recommend Griffith floors for any of your flooring needs.
We have solid oak floors that were 22 years old. Denny and his crew came and re-sanded the floors, and replaced the carpeting in the living room and dining room with matching oak. Then they refinished everything. It looks spectacular! You can't tell that there was carpeting in the other rooms, everything flows seamlessly.We changed the finish color, and asked the guys to help us figure out what color to use. They asked us a few questions, and then came back from the truck with 4 colors, and all 4 seemed perfect. They really simplified the decision making process for us, which we really appreciated.They accommodated our schedule, so we could be out of town while they worked. We didn't worry a bit about being away when they came. Came back to beautiful gleaming floors! Denny and the entire crew are extremely polite, professional, and very patient (we had lots of questions). Communication was excellent - phone calls, emails, and being punctual I am so glad we called them! I highly recommend them and would definitely have them back, if we need this done again. Working with AG&Sons was a great experience. From start to finish they did exactly what they said they would do, when they said they would do it, and it was all done as we discussed. I am thrilled with my floor refinish result. There's only one downside - their work is so good now the other floors that I thought looked pretty decent before - not so much! Glad to have found these guys and I'd definitely recommend them!
